When it rains, it pours?

So I'm supposed to go on vacation in about 2/3 weeks - it's very last minute plans, rushing things.

Anyway, what worries me is whenever I try and buy something for vacation something negative accompanies it. From receiving a call with horrible horrrrrrible news as I was shopping for new suitcases to getting unbelievably bad customer service - to even having expensive things I've bought for the holiday get lost or stolen. Now as I look at the things I've bought, each of them has a negative memory attached. And the stuff that isn't here, well..

I know when it rains it pours but this is a bit much Am I just being superstitious? Part of me just wants to stay home, while the other refuses to be scared like this.

Buy (online) with credit card etc, that way it's covered money-wise if anything should go wrong.
I think you're probably being a little bit superstitious too.
Travel light so the likelihood of accruing bad luck is minimized ?

self-fulfilling prophecy maybe? if you feel negatively about what may come, then you're anticipating and accommodating fear. think positively, your going on vacation so enjoy it, if anything bad does happen, let it slide and try not to dwell on it
