Fellow Pisceans, do any of you feel out of tune with our times? Are the chords of times long since gone and faded the only real keys that stir your hearts? Is this a Pisces thing or am I alone on this?

Maybe I´m just chasing the shadows of nostalgia but our present times seem to be lacking a certain something.-

absolutely with you on this one

personally i feel lost and somewhat alienated (probably through my own behaviour) in this society; even in my own family

i long for the days of long ago. reading about the past just stirs it up even more - because finally all you can do is to adapt and wait for a bigger thing to happen or explain itself!

real humanity and a proper social structure as opposed to this "political" correctness we have shoved down our throats?

Absolutely, I think things are expected these days that are absolutely anti-natural. While I do think the ways of the past needed some degree of reform to adress certain imbalances, things went overboard and humanity set about reinventing the wheel and in the process trampled common sense.

Cannibalistic Reason: once we conceived of greatness and set about trying to attain it. It´s almost as if pettiness has now been raised to the status of "desirable" and is consciously pursued at the expense of anything remotely edifying.

Yep, I couldn´t feel more alienated.-

dxp is tripping lol. sorry.

"humanity set about reinventing the wheel and in the process trampled common sense"

i have this feeling that there have been cultures and societies in the past who were much more established and evolved than the one we live in today. despite the technology we have today and all these so called "improvements".

what we lack today is a form of moral and identification (and maybe also role models)?

Yep, I go back to Cannibalistic Reason: while at one point it was pretty much outlawed to THINK (and I´m certainly glad that´s over... as in, the days of the Middle Ages when the Church forbid any sort of critisism) our use of Reason critiqued its way into uselessness destroying all morals or boundaries, replacing them with what to my mind are anti-natural concepts, while raising others that were previously "opressed" to substitute previous positive role models.

It seems that where once laws and society were geared to protect the honorable man, they now seem geared to protect life at ANY cost. Result and cost? It has become more and more commonplace to hear of these aberrations where the lowly thief, the robber, the kidnapper enjoys "moral superiority" and thrives through the law! Where once you would find role models in an honorable person willing to sacrifice for his nation and people you now have this "mystique" and glorification of "gangsta" rappers (sorry rap lovers) and criminals... where they make it seem as though it´s "cool" to go to jail and be essentially corrupt. Where once you would have been praised and recognized for performing some sort of honorable deed, that recognition is now reserved for someone "clever" enough to get away with something lowly. The thief exalted to a morally superior position and cheered on!

Of course no one is perfect, but the things to strive for have taken a twisted and sickly reversal and it shows.

I just really don´t get any of it. Alien language which I don´t care to learn. The price of course is the feeling of alienation, and yes, being lost. Given the alternative though it´s one I´m willing to accept.-

It's a generational thing, or ones trying to tag along and be a part of it. There's always exceptions but they'll be replaced by the next one in a cyclical sense imo.

Yeah, I have sometimes thought it´s a cyclical thing, but it seems I was born into the bottom end of the cycle, I can´t really relate to much.

I´m hoping the wheel turns around within my lifetime -for the better.-

Here's my natal chart. I'm a Pisces and

Might have to do with entering the Age of Aquarius and leaving the Age of Pisces... As nice as technology can be, some of the ancient times in the past 2000 years seem like they were golden ages.

I think maybe we are missing the freedom of being off the books and on the land. Society as a whole is a mess of greed and the advances havent really been anything. Taxes and interest are worse now than they were in medevil times. Battles are fought without meeting your enemy face to face. And the glory of us veterans can be seen on street corners all over the us in the form of panhandlers.

Banks own the government and the people. Ahhh to just be in the wild far away from all of it.
