I notice alot of couples seem to be that way. But than it seems as they become defined as that. People say " you guys " " you two " as if you become one and are no longer have individuality. Now of course there is the healthy amount of attachment yes they are a very important person in your life and should be your " partner " and a good friend at that. But best friend? It's a sweet idea and I know for some true but also it seems maybe more marriage appropriate at times. I'm not sure, I was kind of just throwing it out there.

Not necessarily. But ideally for me it's awesome when your man emcompasses both roles in your life. It does suck major monkey balls however if things don't work out. And me being a Centaur. I end up missing my friend. |

| I would only consider marrying my best friend. He wouldn't be my only bestie, though. There are a couple of other people in my life that also fill that role. Kind of like the concept of a soul family. |

IP No. A wise comedian stated regarding your better half being your best friend. His words, your best, your real best friend says something moronic, stupid, you can turn to your best friend and say, what are your retard? Try this with your better half. See how this goes over. Your better half should be there always to help and support you. To know what you are going through, but there things that your better half will not be your ultimate best friend. |

IP I guess it defeats the "best friend". Do not get me wrong, my future better half would be ultimately very close to me and I should have no fear to talk to her about anything, but there are things that must be said to a best friend. Right?

it's probably going to be dependent on your own definition of best friend. personally, i can't have more than one. that is where my logic comes from. when i have more than one person in my life that i spread my personal business across and have to open up and expose my vulnerability....which is typical of the relationship with a "best friend", I start to get "cagey" and "paranoid" and then I start acting weird. I need the one on one with ONE. A friend outside of your primary relationship is just a friend. They would not know a fraction about me compared to my partner. |

IP I agree with having limited best friend(s). But what you write on being cagey or paranoid, this is a scorpio thing. You are intense people but never show it to the people who are trying to get to know you. Best friend is a person who you can say anything to withour having you spend the next few nights on the sofa. (LOL).

the funny thing is.....I don't even care if the other person has another best friend. it's more about what makes *me* comfortable. If I'm comfortable...everyone's comfortable LOL
