So you're thinking about joining the Marines, huh? Well, I can tell you anything you need to know about it. I was on active duty unitl Dec. of 98 and I am currently serving in the Reserves until 2002. It's not a small decision. Before you go and sign on the dotted line and swear yourself in, you need to analyze why you want to join. The Marine Corps is hard for women and it's not so much physical pain either. It's the mental pain. Like your superiors who are male telling you that they hate the fact that females are in the Marine Corps. More than likely you'll be one of the few women in your shop. It's just alot of bullshit, but I did get some good things out of it. It was kind of like my "college" so to speak. I have money for school to finish my degree. I have job training in the legal field which I enjoy. I'm more responsible and disciplined than I was when I first joined. If you go through with it, I'll tell you the Marines do not play. You screw up, you will go down. And please don't join because the recruiter is cute and he looks hot in his Dress Blues. Don't fall for it! Anyway, if need anymore info hit me up and time.
