Every man in the whole world knows how women feel about Valentine's Day. The reason they reach out, buy you things & say sweet things in your ear is not b/c they personally feel like doing it, but b/c if it'll mean the world to the person they really like, they'll do what they've gotta do.
So if a man disappears on Valentine's Day, it's b/c
1. He's got a girlfriend/wife at home that he's spending the holiday with
2. He's not that into you
3. He doesn't believe in celebrating Valentine's Day. But even if this was the case, he didn't have to completely disappear on you. If he didn't wanna act all Valentine's Day-ish with you, he could've still had a regular conversation with you like he'd done all the other times.
But I seriously doubt that #3 is what's going on.
Your gut is telling you to run for a reason. He's been inconsistent in the past & in the present for a reason! When someone is showing you who they are, that's not code for analyze it too death. That's code for pay attention & listen the 1st time!
Don't be the typical woman who ignores her gut, continues chasing the guy, continues giving him all she's got even though she's only getting half of him in return & then looks like a devastated deer in headlights when he disappears/hurts you again. Don't be the typical woman who ignores her intuition but then regrets doing so when hindsight 20/20 kicks in

After a few months of pretty steady contact and working towards getting back together this summer (we have known each other for a decade and a half, have kids, etc but haven't been in a relationship in many years), the day before Valentines Day, Taurus disappears. No phone, no email, nothing.
Now he had been telling me that he has grown up and is a man of romance... and so I took the lack of even an email... quite badly. I fought my normal response, which would be to explode in anger and hurt and instead ignored it when he reappeared yesterday without even a feeble excuse.
But I just cant shake it. We have discussed communication issues in the past...he is a "man of action not words" but I can't help take this lack of action....not even a three word email "Happy Valentine's Day" as anything other than a clear indication that he really isn't seriously interested.
