May I borrow your lip gloss?

A variety of a being called "human"

A coworker asked me to borrow my lip gloss while I was reapplying it. Is it bad to not only get disgusted when asked this but to then throw the gloss away, rather used by the other person or not?

In the dead of night, it's the anti-sig.

Yuck. I'd have declined. What if they have a cold sore threatening to erupt. Be like asking to use someones mascara. No thanks.

Thank you guys. I almost regurgitated when she asked, but wanted to make certain that was the appropriate response.

Google me you stalkers =)

Um heck yeah it's understandable that you were completely disgusted when asked such a question!

I realize that some women feel that there's some kind of women's "code" that allows for them all to share everything (food, clothing, & even men! lol) BUT not everybody lives by that creed. And I'm 1 of the people who don't. There are just some things you shouldn't expect to be shared, & things like lip gloss, carmax or ANYTHING that can easily spread germs is just a HUGE no-no!

What amazes is me is how OFENDED people get when you actually tell them no! I can't tell you how many times I've heard the line, "What?! It's not like I've got Herpes or anything." It's like wowwww, gee you just gave me ANOTHER reason to say HELL NO!

I think it's rude! And it's even WORSE when the person asking you is someone you barely know!
