Full Moon in Cancer

The Moon heads home to Cancer for the first full moon of 2011 on January 19 at 1:21 p.m. PST / 4:21 p.m. EST. Full moons signify the completion, culmination of what may have been initiated during the previous eclipsed new moon in Capricorn which encouraged us to rise up and meet the challenges we may be facing now. This Full Moon in Cancer reminds us to make use of our emotional intelligence (EQ) instead of relying solely or heavily on our intelligence quotient (IQ) alone.

The Sun in Capricorn is ambitious with a methodical approach to achieve its objectives. Hence, the Capricorn-Sun can be unyielding to change, especially if methods have proven successful in the past. Be open and aware to what the next phase may be or what this full moon phase might have in store for you.
