My Mars Fuqs Your Venus
i got distracted...sheesh. ok, i meant to lead with this....
Conjunct means that the planets are in the same sign. In my case, my beau's Venus is in Aries. My Mars is in Aries. This leads to my assuming the more dominate/masculine role and his having more feminine energies.
Venus-Mars: The Female Venus conjunct the Male Mars shows that the woman naturally accepts and feels appreciated by the way the man approaches her. This is a very beautiful aspect to have in the synastry chart and can lead to marriage.
The other positive aspects and the Male Venus conjunct Female Mars are also conducive for romance, although the Male Venus and Female Mars conjunction can make some men anxious as this is a role reversal--the male receives the female rather than the other way around.

So, we can see with him that the female —ideal?? is wrapped up in his emotions and confuses the role with that of the Mother (the Moon) in a house of joint possessions (I am still broke after a year apart) and that he felt he needs to be provided for by women in any role. My Mars and (biting tongue) Mercury had plenty to say about that. And those same planets of his fell into my house of karma, undoing, subconsious??_. OMG, I married my Mother (appropriatly said, as the Moon was involved). We really destroyed each other and everything in our surrounding. Being in Capricorn??_ we did it well, masters of it you might say.

Now my children, I have a daughter with Mars in Gemini and a son with his Venus in Gemini at the exact degree. Those two are never quiet and are quite destructive when they get together. They are also hilarious and come up with amazing schemes together. I suspect they egg each other on??_ like when they flooded the back yard during winter trying to make a skating rink, or the hand prints I can't even paint over when they made a paste trying to climb the walls like spiderman. There is a closeness to them that amazes most people. When they were younger in school, if they passed each other in the hallway, they would break out of lines just to go hug one another. The teachers were always telling me such stories. What other??s didn't see where the conflict times and the passions involved with that. Can those two argue! And there are times I think they verbally disagree just to hear themselves (Gemini) and to practice bantering back and forth.

yes, your venus/mars has to be in the same sign (ideally in the same aspect - degree) as his mars/venus. the stronger the aspect, the stronger the influence.
you might also feel a similar connection with someone whose sign is in the same element. like if you're a venus in aries and he's a mars in leo...both are fire signs. then it would be venus trine mars.

i think when it's woman mars conjunct man's venus, it's as some of the other excerpts alluded....it makes the guy nervous. the chick will naturally dominate in ways that may threaten the dude's masculinity. thing is, he will like it! but maybe that should not extend outside the bedroom? like if she's the aggressor in love matters and he's more sentimental or whatever it is women do in relationships, i can't relate because my mars in aries is AWESOME, then the chick needs to be careful to not allow these energies to spill out in other aspects of life?

Now my children, I have a daughter with Mars in Gemini and a son with his Venus in Gemini at the exact degree. Those two are never quiet and are quite destructive when they get together. They are also hilarious and come up with amazing schemes together. I suspect they egg each other on??_ like when they flooded the back yard during winter trying to make a skating rink, or the hand prints I can't even paint over when they made a paste trying to climb the walls like spiderman. There is a closeness to them that amazes most people. When they were younger in school, if they passed each other in the hallway, they would break out of lines just to go hug one another. The teachers were always telling me such stories. What other??s didn't see where the conflict times and the passions involved with that. Can those two argue! And there are times I think they verbally disagree just to hear themselves (Gemini) and to practice bantering back and forth.
Their fondness for each other is evident from the beginning. He started walking when he was 4 months old, just to keep up with her. She would crawl into his crib at night to hug him. I took them swimming and my son was out a bit deep and I was standing next to him to help out??_ and he got a bit of water on his face and panicked, he called out her name to help him, even though I was right there. She knows his weakness, and this kid is still terrified of phantom alligators that live under the bathtub. He knows hers and tells her she is gaining weight.
So, Venus and Mars??_ Planet of Love and Planet of War??_ maybe a conjunction isn't always the best thing or maybe just looking at one side of the aspect doesn't prepare us for what else is to come.

5 years late, I know. My sister and I have this conjunction and it's a lot like that when we're around each other. There's a lot of banter going back and forth, and we absolutely cannot be quiet around each other.
