How does Cap rising affect me in everyday life?

I've done a post about how my moon, cancer, affects me but I'm also confused about how the rising sign would affect me.

I have 5 capricorns in my chart one of which is in venus. I know the basic cap traits I just don't understand what it brings to a person when it's not their sun sign.

I've read about it on websites but most websites just copy each other so in reality I haven't really found much.

Also what would be the negative sides to having cap as a rising and venus sign? I see a lot of positive on websites but hardly any negative.

Capricorn Rising;you cant help but come across like a greedy,prudish,self-centred,status driven,gold-diggin yuppie sucker who only cares about being seen with the right kind of people that eventually you will turn your nose up at anyway as you get into your guyfriend's Merc.

You may appear a bit dull with little humour. People may view you as someone super serious and perhaps vain and shy/insecure maybe even lonely. Most of all someone who just seems to dedicate everything, heart and soul to work. Ready for the negatives?

JayDee - Not sure if the (lol) meant you said all of that in jest but I don't like money and material things if they are meaningless. I can't handle superficial friendships or even aquaintances and I believe in being independant and earning your own money so if anyone was to be getting in to a merc it would be my guyfriend getting into mine 😛 but an old ford would replace the merc. But who knows, people may see me that way...I'm usually alone when I'm out in public so I doubt it 🙂

Angelkeeper - Yeah I guess that is how I would come off towards people but only before they knew me. I don't really view those as negatives, just a bit boring and stiff.


Does your rising sign not affect you personally? Is it only how others view you? I would imagine it would have some sort of impact on your actual personality.

Also I wasn't trying to argue what you both had said, I was more trying to understand how they related to me...but when I read what I had written it looked like I could have been saying you both were wrong 😛

I think your rising sign affects your appearance and body type,it also affects your habits and movement.Im a Pisces Sun,Gemini rising.. so that might mean that on the inside Im spiritual,compassionate,dreamy but my outward appearance or what I show the world even unknowingly mite make me seem nerdy,nervy,bookish or intellectual etc.

The main impression I get from Capricorn in any placement is 'business-like'
I read about Venus in Capricorn before and it said will only consider a partner who is well-established or successful in their field,or at least determined and promising.

Nothing wrong with people viewing you as business like.
