Seeing some of the new posts/threads/posters on here, I felt compelled to share my take on this disappearing phenomenon which we've labelled the "Capricorn man personality", as I've read, researched and dealt with it for a while now... I'm no expert and don't have the "success story", so I'm not bragging- just offering my view on it all.
I think you have to be a very strong, independent woman to handle and deal with these types. We can call it the Cap. man type, for the purposes of discussion here, as Cap. men are stereoptypically workaholics and seemingly independent so may present as commitment-phobes sometimes with these disappearances. But I really think that like all people want to tell you... that if a guy is into you, interested, he's not going to let work keep him away for days and days, weeks and weeks... But, yet he does keep coming back again and again, showing up to contact you, and you're not chasing him, or being so foolish as to be a doormat or be "available" [you know what I mean there], so that's when I say there's BIGGER issues going on with him (abandonment fears/issues, from childhood and/or a previous marriage/relationship).
It seems you have to show you're a "ROCK" to these guys which is why I think Taurus women do so well w/ them... Also, you have to READ BETW. THE LINES and have highly tuned intuition and basic female sensitivity at play in understanding human behavior, which is why Pisces females also seem to be a good match for these types. I really think it's a balance and combination of being strong, independent and having your own life- not letting your emotions go haywire due to their actions or inaction- yet also having that understanding, perception and patience needed to be receptive and welcoming when he gets in touch. But yet you have to still keep that levelhead for yourself and your own well-being. It's a delicate balance... which is why I mention both the Piscean and Taurean qualities which I see working so well with these guys... I'm not knocking or discrediting any other signs; there are just several woman I've communicated with at length who have had ongoing longterm relationships with these men (yes, cap. men), and it's these qualities I see in them which appear to help keep their sanity and at the same time make him comfortable and at ease to keep coming back.
Basically, you cannot be a drama-queen and needy and emotional, in my opinion... Calling them up, texting, whatever, guilt-tripping... "why didn't you call??" Whining and clinging is going to drive him further away, in part because he needs space but also because these kind of emotional highs and lows indicate to them that the woman is unstable, and is not going to stick around in tough times. I think alot of these TYPE of men are recovering or whatnot from failed marriages or relationships where the girl cheated, played them bigtime, and were not loyal bottomline, so any erratic, dramatic behavior is a 'red flag', and will have them running or staying away longer. This is why you may feel alot of the time like you're being "tested" with the disappearances or odd behavior... I don't know that that's the case - that there is deliberate "testing" going on... But it is when space/distance... time to think... work... recharge ... is needed, and it's the time when your own strength, independence, and living your own life must be a focus for you.
I'm probably being "preachy" and coming off rather analytical... That's the Cap. in me! I've really had to develop my own piscean qualities in dealing w/ this guy, and to a certain extent you could say Taurean qualities of patience. My Cap. tendencies have helped me alot though too because I am not emotional, dramatic, and showy in my feelings. So, just my 200 cents.... I've asked a couple of "my support group" to chime in on this thread... however, they don't post on here and so I'm not sure they'll do more than read. But each of them h

well heres the deal, dating this girl off and on for almost 2 months, its been on again off again, we started out great, we clicked right away, we got close for about a week and 3 days, then we had sex, it was great, loved every day of it for almost 5 day
Im still trying to find people, preferrably women born on a cancer/leo cusp. I have done tons of research but still come up dry most of the time. Im tired of reading about how cancers want to knit and mate all the time, and leo's have their head stuck up
