Taurus, Leo and work...

I met a slightly older taurus male a year ago when i started working. he isn't directly my boss but I support work on one of his projects. for me, it was instant attraction from the moment I met him. i feel like sometimes it is reciprocated and other times not (i.e. flirty playful one day and aloof the next). I get that this is normal Taurus behavior but I'm interviewing and in the process of accepting another job and he'll be a reference. I'm so MADLY attracted to him that I feel that I must tell him before I leave this job but after he provides the reference.

What advice would one give a assertive leo female on how to proceed with this plan? I'm nervous I am either going to

A. make a fool of myself and B. make him uncomfortable and upset with me (if these feelings aren't reciprocated)

Get the reference first,

Get the job.

Then ask him out.
