I'll work at it, even if you're a lost cause, till the last straw breaks my aching back.

You can say what you want about me, but watch what you say about whats 'mine' because it wont be pretty.

You don't need to rush me, I'll get there when I get there, eventually.

You can give me all the pretty things in the world, and it'll help a lot, but its not EVERYTHING.

You can be sweet as candy but if I don't like you, I don't like you. Get it?

We can work our butts off to live in bold colors in a comfortable home, and not go out much, and I'm okay with that.

We can travel as much as you'd love too, but we're coming home in between trips, no excuses.

We can talk till we're blue, but I wont promise that my 'talk' wont becoming a yell every now and then.

We can compromise because I"m okay with giving, as long as you give back.

I love my children to death but they need to step up and speak up.

I will guide as best as I can without doing it all for you, that's just too much of a disappointment.

I will expose you to as many things as I can my little love, but I wont make you.

I will be lazy till I have to do it, but when I devote my self, damn am I good.

Oh, so true! Why don't people understand that? The more they TRY to make me like them...the more I don't. *smh *

Ughh! Also, I can sense when people aren't digging me (I'm not just talking intimate relationships specifically, just in general w/males or females), and guess what, while it hasn't happened very often in my life, when it has I've left them the f@ck alone. I don't try to MAKE somebody like me - either they do or they don't. If they don't, I move on and keep doing me. I see it ALL the time with some of my gf's and ex-colleagues trying to kiss such & such's a $ $ by being overly nice to get them to like them. I'm like, "Hellllo! This isn't grade school where you give your favorite doll to the girl you want to be your friend. We are big, grown a $ $ adults; everybody isn't going to like you. Move on!"

RIGHT. Either you do or you don't. But let's not flog it until it's dead. And that is inclusive of just accepting who the hell I am, warts and all.
