Will a Taurus man ignore a woman?

Hi everyone! I am having some trouble decoding a Taurus man and this place seems to be a last resort.
Earlier this year I developed feelings for a Taurus man that I have been acquainted with for the past two years, give or take a little. Anyway, we were flirting for awhile but I had an on-and-off boyfriend so he seemed kind of pissed or confused. Now that I am single, for good, I have not seen him more than in passing for over a month. The other day it was my first chance to strike a conversation but he ran off. We said hello and then he disappeared, he did not have the same emotion but it seemed like he was trying to escape quickly.
My question: is this typical Taurus behavior, and should I pursue further or just let him go?

Hey guys! Maybe I grew a little impatient and I figured that I would get no responses because the response was not immediate. Anyway, update: I did not pursue right away and I'm glad I didn't because he had a gf. Well, he became super extra flirty again and I found out that they broke up. Buy still no reaction from him other than flirts and nice smiles. So, I typed him a message on fb and sent it by accident. Eeeek. I got short responses and thats it. I guess I can go on avoiding him because it's super extra weird, I think, to send him a message in the middle of the night.

I think you all are correct about the "on/off bf" thing. I have given him plenty of chances to approach me, just the other day we both showed up to a community event and were within five feet of each other and he didn't say a word. I did notice him open his mouth like he was going to talk, but now here I am just overthinking this whole thing again. Anyway, chance=gone.

I know I should let him go but thats so hard to do! The other day he bought my coffee without me knowing it until I tried to pay. I insisted on paying for it and he said "Too late! It's already done." This is something he did before his girlfriend. He's whatever...

Not realizing how hurt he is from his last breakup, just be a friend to him right now. We value loyalty and someone who sticks with us through the tough times get lots of points. Don't pressure him and just be there if he needs you. Trust me, you do not want to be one of the few women he will run through after a breakup. He is hurt, ego smashed and will go through many women until he feels confident again. That was me when I was younger.
