Human Error ......

We have no souls, but, think we do. Because we think this in error, we presume that all people should have a certain amount of compassion that stems from this soul .. and then are astounded when people can split themselves in an instant to present themselves as soulless, heartless.

because of this fallacy .... we even fight wars in name of love.

We are just energy, like everything else on this planet, the planet itself responds to the same vibrations. Just because we are sentient doesn't mean we have a soul. In fact, there is no proof, at all, that humans have a soul.

We only have a belief that there is one.

kind of makes sense if you think about it .... we just respond to/from energy .. this is why we can be bitter-sweet ... we are just responding.



Has anyone ever heard of Mr. Emoto? He wrote the book, "The Message from Water", and was featured in a Video called "What the Bleep do we know" ... anyway, he has provided evidence that human vibrational energy, our thoughts, words, ideas, music, etc .. all affect the molecular structure of water. Water actually changes it's molecular structure from energy projections .. this is fucking huge. It means .. water is also sentient, this being sentient is what humans claim to be having fame. We are because we are ... yeah, so is water.

Our bodies are a tad over 70% water, the earths oceans are a tad over 70% water .... and water changes it's structure based off of vibrational energy.

If this is looped around the mind .. it is easy to see that we are just reacting to energy, it's not a soul that makes us do or not do something .... we are happy, sad, evil, kind, angry, excited ===== all stemming from exposure to the vibrations of energy.

To be sentient means we experience sensations and feelings on a conscious level .. that doesn't mean we have souls.

Even in the garden of Eden, if people want to take that approach .. there's no mention of a soul being given, just breathing life.

In the 8th Century (years 701 - 800), an Anglo-Saxon scholar named Beowulf coined the word "soul", spelled, "Sawol" in Old English.

In Hebrew, which is what the bible was written in, humans were referred to as Nephesh, which means the complete life of a being, or more commonly used as, "a living being" (breathing creature).

In 1611, when the bible was translated into Engligh in the King James Version .. the word Nephesh was replaced with Sawol, and then to Soul.

So, in essence, there is no evidence in the bible, such as we read often in Deuteronomy, that human beings have a soul .. we do find a translation error, though.

How about the Quantum problem called "Double Slit" .. has anyone ever heard of that?

Experiments are continuing with this problem because it is unexplanable .... matter (electrons were used) creates an interference pattern, like waves .. ok, that's not the problem, or at least it wasn't at first because particles bounce, or resonate off each other ... however ...

... once observed (watched) ... matter changes to "behave" according to human expectation.

Ask any avid gardner .. they proclaim that plants respond to them when they talk, when they sing to them.



Energy ... this is what it all boils down to. We are all connected on this giant energy band, all things, objects, animals ... commanded by vibrations that are projected.


Our spirits aren't any more special than a dog's, or a gnats, or an Elm Tree ... we are all sentient beings because we can all "feel" the sensations ... we are all intelligent beings, beit on different levels, because we can all "alter" our responses ===== we means we all have a conscience ... but, that doesn't mean we have a soul.



Because we are so intelligent, we HAVE to have a meaning, a clarification .. and since we cannot grasp this, we put a tag on it, so settle the mind.

Probably so we can eat these things without feeling guilt.

I can't find evidence that humans have a soul.

Just because we have awareness of natural form of energy .. doesn't equal the interpretation that commonly defines a soul, which is an individual entity, independent of the energy mass.



Sometimes, I catch glimpses of animals in humans, or plants in humans .. just something about the way they look, but not their physical appearance, rather their actions, their behaviour ... a certain characteristic closely resembles that of a lifeform other than a human .... and it begins to add up to me.


There is just one giant energy band, a mass .... and our energies aren't exclusively ours, and they are all intertwined with every object.

Or perhaps, you don't take life seriously enough and live too much in the moment to comprehend the abstract, and so when you encounter a person who does, you tell them they think too much and are not living enough to your interpretation of how life is to be enjoyed.

So, now (to those who are comprehending what I'm saying) .... pull away from each of these individual trees of the forest, to view the whole wood, at large ....



If all things think .... if all things are sentient (which has been proven with the Double Slit Experiments) .... couple that with the awareness that all humans can be both good/bad within the same characteristic, the same deed, thought ....


We are all capable of murder, capable of a crime of passion .. all of us .. all of us. We can kill for love.

If we had a soul, I don't believe we could do that. It would stop us. Just like if it was present in us then we would be aware of soulmates, we would find each other .. we don't find each other because they aren't existent as an individual entity, which is what we seek because this is how we have defined a soul.

We can however, feel energy projections from everything.

We look at other people, all the way up to entire countries of people ... and cannot understand how they can be so heartless .. then turn around and step on an ant.


There's no definitive soul line .. if it was present, we wouldn't be able to step on that ant, because our souls wouldn't let us.

But, again, because we can think .. we have thought of a definition to clarify to us how/why we can do things we do, such as .... no soul, full of soul, dark soul, lost soul, light soul .... we actually make those assessments because we "think" we have one to define of others when alls that has happened was that these others have reacted to good/bad energy.

A person can have a dark soul to one person and a good soul to another?

Let's be real here .... if a soul were present, that ^^^^ wouldn't be possible.

There's no doubt in my mind that "others" , the ones watching us .... shake thier heads at us, we are barbarians with the ability to know how to make weapons.


And fucking soulless enough to use them ....



And then fucking stupid enough to think it's because of some "invisible" entity that made us do it.



We will utter a total lie to a person about how we love how that new dress looks on them, and then "think" how better it would look on ourselves, or the dog, or on that person with better shoes ... depending on which energy you are responding to emitting from your friend.

If we have a soul, then marbles have a soul ... if this souls definition = consciousness.


because, it is proven that matter decides to change at its own discretion, if it realizes that you are watching it and have an expectation of how you percieve it's suppose to behave.

Approximately every seven to nine years, all the matter in your body changes at the atomic level, including your brain. This would mean that every seven to nine years "you" cease to be and another person begins.


Matter changes.

It is said that a person exists in two states: alive and dead.


Alive, to mean ... walks, talks, functions, and grows .. dead means that the person does not respond to any stimulant, can not grow and the body deteriorates ... that a living person has his soul inside of him and a dead person's soul has departed.

This is all in what we say because we believe it to be .... yet, have no awareness of it's presence .... we assume it's there because we are told it's there and we assume it's gone when the body dies, because this is what we are told.

In reality, we have nothing to provide evidence of its existence.

It appears that all cultures and religions believe there is a soul, and in this belief, they would "think" they think of the soul as a positive within themselves .... yet, if there is a soul, which I doubt .. then it can not be comprehended in a positive sense, we can not see it/sense it in any manner of speaking, yet we can apprehend it in only in its negative sense, when it no longer resides in the body.


For example .... Bella would suggest that I don't have one, if I say so and then proceed to explain why, according to my attitude ... when in reality, if the soul was a reality, an attitude of a living being would hold no baring on the soul's existence.

This "belief" only of its presence, people have conditioned themselves to be aware of it in the negative sense, when it isn't present .... and this is because they have forced themselves to attempt to believe that something is present that isn't .. so naturally, since they cannot be aware of something that isn't there, then this is all they know to regard it to be.

The above is pure absurdity .. and yet, this person believes that people have a soul.

If it is believed that people have a soul, and the very definition of breathing life is contingient upon the soul being present ... then it isn't possible to be alive without one, yet, like I said ... this assumed presence of a soul is merely "used" in the negative sense because this is the only way something that doesn't exist can be understood.

Yet, if it indeed was existent .... then we wouldn't even need the god program to save us from ourselves.

That part ^^^^^^^ just glosses by people, they aren't capable of realizing this, so it's really not their fault that they know not what they do. This god program is in place so that you can save yourself, from yourself .. and if you actually had a soul, you wouldn't need to be saved by another entity, because your soul (in its divinity) would be there for you, to prevent you from even doing something to have to be saved for.

Don't know what the opening post said, but I will state that I don't believe in souls for some of the same reasons I don't believe in God, Gods, ghosts and aliens. What do those things I listed have in common? They're all based around a belief of something that is not concrete. Though one could easily argue that we have proof of their existences, these proofs has been refutable. Until there is concrete proof to these things (meaning definite answers that are facts which have no inaccuracies based off of personal misconceptions or magical jargon) I will continue to think this way.

However, as I say quite a bit, I believe people are entitled to their beliefs in these things; especially religion because it gives people the hope of an afterlife and/or rebirth. Likewise souls give some people the hope that there is something deeper beyond the superficial dealings of our materialistic lives. If people choose to believe in such things for the good of their own well-being...excluding the ignorance of it, then so be it. Just don't expect others to agree with it. And I'm sure the people saying stuff like, "Yes souls exist" would most likely say that, "Well don't expect me to agree with you either." It goes both ways.

Yet, the difference is this isn't exactly a subjective gray theory. So one of the sides is right, the other is wrong. The question is, who can prove it? Can any of you prove that you have a soul? Can you touch it? Can you taste it? Can you smell it? Can you see it? What does it look like? These questions and more...😄

I believe human beings have souls. Our soul is what allows us to reason.

The word soul was an translation of another word, from the Hebrew to English .. and the Hebrew word Nephesh means a living being.

When this word "soul" was adapted in translation in 1611, there was no word to mean a living being at the time .. there was human, people, animals, plants, but, no word to reference ALL inclusive to being a living being ... so they then adapted Beowulfs word Sawol, which was used in literary context to mean ..... moves fast ... and this word was corned with this definition some 800 years before the bible was translated.

I find this quite intriguing .. of all the words to use to mean a living being .. why would they pick a word that translates to "fast" ... are they supposing that once dead, a person moves quickly?

By they, I mean the Stuarts, who took the throne from the Tudors, after Elizabeths death .... which announced James IV of Scotland, King of England ====== King James Bible was born.


I'm thinking that perhaps the reason why they used this word for "living being" is because at this point Shakespeare had already adapted the word and using it in his literary works, and since people just follow their feelings, rather than any logic .... makes sense that since Shakespeare was loved that they would use a word he endorses.

Bottom line is, there needs to be a better explanation than "my mother told me" hearsay or "my cousin thinks" personal experience. There is a difference between actual scientific proof (like the proof of CO2 for instance) and I haven't seen any of that in this thread. Only philosophical theory and what has been aforementioned.

So, let's say for a minute that souls are existent .... this would suggest that there are levels of divinity, that if Heaven is indeed a realm, that it discriminates who is allowed in.

yet, it is clear to me that animals are in the know of things that humans can't even begin to acknowledge .... like an earthquake. That loops me back around to energy.

Animals aren't conditioned with a god program .... so, it seems natural that they would be in tuned with the earths energy without discrimination .... like a child who can see ghosts, because conditioning hasn't blinded them yet.

Simply put: We don't need souls (i.e. figments) to rationalize our thoughts. We have minds for that.

Some people have a really hard time believing something they can't see/feel for themselves, which I understand, and respect. But IMO there are some things we weren't necesarily meant to understand and may not even have the capacity to understand. That's where faith is supposed to come in.

It's not so important to understand what we are made of, as to understand why we are here in the first place. REALLY.
People's obsession with explaining things scientifically/technically is seriously a problem.

Yes because animals are prone to go by instinct rather than reason. They inherently have smaller and less developed brains than humans. But, I think animals do have values just as humans do. Like dogs for example. They have a familial obligation to the pack in which they will protect and defend.

I can't speak for everyone, but as much as I would like to believe in an afterlife or being reborn after death, I don't think that's plausible. Those things give us hope and make us feel tingly inside to avoid having to face the realism of it's possible inaccuracy.

On a side note: I just remembered a quote from another thread that P-Angel said. She said, "It's so easy to take people's souls." And yet, brings up a thread that is against the idea of a soul. That makes no sense.

If it's documented then you should have no problem finding that and posting it here. 🙂

Well considering this was many years ago and not recent the information of the titles and such is not at my reach atm.
If i had the info id give you the links, titles, authors etc.

There are many journals, books, etc. that were written years ago and can be dug up. Why don't you bother researching things yourself before readily believing everything you read and hear? Also, why can't you ask your mom what the title or the author of the said journal is? She seems to be more familiar with it than you are. My final question for right now is what are people's definition of a soul? Some of you in this thread seem to think that a soul is something that enables rationalization and morality. Last I checked, the brain does that. Give the brain credit where credit is due people!

Ah, I missed that link before because it wasn't in html form. My apologies for that one. I've actually heard about this before now that I recall. Also, I've gotta add that it's quite predictable how some people on these message boards resort to immature name-calling when they've realize their viewpoints are possibly invalid and yet them claim that other people are close-minded because they won't concur with their views. And yet, don't consider other people's views.

Anyway, this is certainly an interesting read, however, I'm not entirely convinced yet because now another question arises as to what really causes the weight loss of dying patients. I'm not sure if it's the "soul". The physician had brought up the point about it possibly being, "Body weight that is continually being lost through evaporating perspiration and water vapor in one's breath." Though his deduction was that it was not due to the slow movement of that occurring which is plausible. I intend on to researching what could be other possible catalyst for weight deductions at the time of death and suggest other believes and non-believers of the soul theory do as well. 😉
