I've never dated a Pisces, but I met one last night I'm very excited about!! Massive sparks and attraction.
Anyone have any advice for how to begin with a Pisces on the right foot? Aloof? Mysterious? Available?
I've done a little random googling the basics of "how to win the heart of a Pisces man", but I do so love my dxp opinions.
Oh, and he lives 2 hours away, but I'm not skeered. Is this a no-no for a Pisces?

The fact that there is distance only matters in way that you have no awareness of and probably still wouldn't get it, even if I told you.

As of right now, the only thing that is going to make this fail is what the above quoted sentences mean.

I'm sure you think you are being real, I'm sure Pp thinks she is being real, and I'm sure Sea thinks she is being real ...... however ... if all of you aren't in close physical proximity of your partner ... then alls you all are is a dream of what you fantisize it to be.

Alas .... the Piscean shadow. Even the Pisces himself is prey to it, they are clueless to themselves, even when they read it, they can even see it others ... but, are blind to themselves.

In regards to distance, the gap can easily be closed.

Peri, now I know you are smarter than that.

To explain that you can close the gap isn't clarifying the theory of a Piscean living in their environment.

You claimed my theory is flawed .. in reality ... a Piscean living within their environment has been validated since the beginning of astrology.

Nice job being defensive.

KP, I don't have water in my chart, but I'm also not quite as airy or non-committal as most gems. I'm a pretty good communicator and not afraid to discuss issues of the heart, but my problem is often over-thinking it way too soon and freaking them out. I'm also pretty considerate of my partner's feelings and try to understand their needs and motivations for them. This is just all new territory for me. i know many have said this is a deadly match, but some others say that with the gem female and male pisces and the right approach in by laying the right groundwork it can actually make a well fitted match.

Now, I don't even suppose to know if this is my Mr. Right yet, but I'd like to start things off as positively as possible. So.... how's it best to lead into something with a Pisces male? How directly can I communicate? How much pursuing should I do and how much should I allow them to do. I'm very unfamiliar with this sign all around.

From my observations of the Fish, starting off with a plan or scheme to 'catch', is not in your best interest.

You should really just be yourself and draw in his attention. This may be hard for a Gem, since they often try to be what they think the other wants.

Dearest P-Angel, I'm so thankful you could take the time to throw slanders my way. I know the mere presence of a Gemini on your beloved Pisces boards really stirs up that battered woman in you. I'd like you to recognize once and for all that I am not your ex/current husband and I've never raised my hand to a woman except to help wipe her tears away and offer a hug.

Let me try this one more time.... I am not asking for anyone to help me scheme. I don't want you to tell me he likes aprons in the color red and it would be best if I talked about baseball. I am asking you to tell me a little about the Pisces mannerisms. For instance, I know if I am dating a crab that they are often going to need time to shell up at home and work on various projects and whatnot. I know not to take this personally. I also know that if I take the lead of a conversation in a group setting they will be thankful. I know that a crab would rather have things approached softly and indirectly at first. This is all I am asking is for you to tell me a few of the nuances of this sign.

I'm not going to stop being me for someone. I'm a cheery, bright, ambitious woman and I like me. I also know that sometimes my faults can rub someone the wrong way. I embrace those faults, but I also try to be as sensitive as possible to the people who enter my circle. If I had just made friends with a Pisces female I'd be asking the same questions.

For a Pisces to be true, they MUST be influenced by thier environment .. otherwise, alls you get from them is a fantasy.

Must I send you to Pisces101?

Hmm I find it fascinating how you are very accurate with your pisces information. But my question is, shouldn't we make an effort to tame our senses and feelings rather then let them tame us? Alot of the information is true, however I somehow think that we shouldn't let our feelings cloud our judgments about reality or let them control our fates. Reference from the jedi teachings 😛

I am not humbled by you.

Definition -
Lower (someone) in dignity or importance
"I knew he had humbled himself to ask for my help."
Decisively defeat (another team or competitor, typically one that was previously thought to be superior)
"He was humbled by his political opponents."

That you think you must be in a position higher than I to answer a simple question, that you believe you must defeat me to give basic advice, it only shows your disdain for me and for anyone who doesn't relish in being belittled.

I wish you luck in your endeavours P-Angel, but this is not an argument I am going to have with you. Perhaps you should return to taunting Capricorn women or anyone else who's looking for a good old thrashing of the ego. I however, will not stand for it from you or any other person whether that be male or female.... and in the end that's your whole point isn't it? For women not to allow themselves to be verbally and emotionally abused and come here to cry about it?

Hmmm once you can see past your own feelings will you finally understand what P is really doing. Don't let you're ego get in the way. She's actually a teacher in a sense if you understand what she is doing.

"For women not to allow themselves to be verbally and emotionally abused and come here to cry about it? "

no she's actually giving you the freedom of self reliance, being nice to you isn't going to shake your reality and allow you to think...sometimes you have to be a little harsh to get the other person to understand.

I would say ... yes .. for a non-Pisces. By all means they should do everything they can to tame their feelings, rather than let it run rapid to devour them.

A Pisces, though ... is an expert at understand their feelings, so, it's doubtful to me that they will FALL prey to it. Just like Peri here and his e-squeeze, he may stand on the rooftops and yell he's in love .. in reality, he knows full well that because he is a Pisces he will never FALL for another person.

And this is probably the biggest bitch people have about us ... because others fall and they get pissed off that we are still standing.

So long as you think I'm trying to humble you .. the longer you stay in limbo.

You are your own director ... I merely give you cues. If you decide that you know better about Pisces ... then why does this thread exist?

If you choose to fight, rather than listen because the sound in your ears isn't what you expected .. then perhaps you should decide to change your expectations, or better yet ... don't have any.

P-Angel, is this because a Pisces will never fall for anyone as they are seeking a type of perfection or that they fall once and are always holding everyone subject to comparison to that person forever?

And then the people will begin to try and figure out how to win our hearts, or ask how to get footing, should they be aloof, or what?

Because we are in control of how we feel.

Here, this would have been a great response.....

Dear Gems,

Don't worry to much about how you come off to your new Pisces man. You cannot evoke any emotion from him without him allowing it. Therefore, there is no proper way to talk to a Pisces. We are so much farther evolved than other signs you can talk to us any ole way that you feel fit and we will adapt if we deem you worthy.

Cheers,

P-Angel

Now would that have been so hard?

P-Angel, would you prefer to receive the pot or the kettle for Christmas? I have the audacity to ask you a direct question because I am showing you that I have a higher thought level than the .001% of a brain cell that you think I have. I have the ability to process what you are saying when you are not being nasty, too bad that was in a post not directed at me.

My mother never dropped me on my head, but she did drop me off at all my speech and debate tournaments throughout my high school and some of my college career. It was there I was taught to listen and readdress points made. It was there I was shown how to make your point without being degrading or belittling to your opponent.

In other thoughts, P-Angel, it's only a matter of time until you respect me. You'll find I'm a very genuine person with quite a few redeeming qualities.

Get to know each other. No mirrors, no smoke. No mind games. Always be yourself. Talk things out, give each other space and mutual respect and NEVER ever lie...Total turn off for me. I appreciate and value bravery and honesty over deceit.

Thank you for directly answering my question. I appreciate it.

No mirrors? No smoke? Does that mean I also need to toss the good make-up and fancy push up bras? Shit. 😉

this is so typical for the pisces board is it not? first you must crawl on your knees and prove yourself worthy of asking a question to the superior ones?! screw that.

gems, imo just show interest, be sincere and yourself. (nothing to do with pisces really 😉) and see where the road takes you.

and instead of taking in the "reversed psychology" crap you have read up to now, check out astrologycafe.com

best regards

Pesca, are there enough words to thank you for mentioning my plithe and calling it for what it is? The small amount of validation this offered was quite heartwarming. It's much like a recruiter I called years ago who told me I wasn't worth my salary and to take a hike. I spent days crawling on my knees and proving my worthiness, my abilities, and basis for my requests. Shortly after I landed a great job. I don't know that I learned anything from his approach, but I've never forgotten the sharpness of it.

Thank you for your words as well. I'm very excited about this one! Tall and dreamy, well rounded and adjusted, great conversationalist and incredibly insightful.

Haha, humor, yes.

Gotta love the Gem's humor. Use that. It'll help 🙂

Funny enough I think it was the humor that won him over. I don't know where it came from! He and I had locked eyes a couple of times and smiled. My girlfriend and I had just left the bar after getting fresh drinks and were moving through the crowd. I saw him again and we locked eyes when I walked by. He made some kind of manly noise and his friend noticed and stopped me. He said, "Have you met my friend Spencer?" to which I replied, "OH right, you're the one married to that chick who is addicted to plastic surgery." He chuckled and his friend said, "So you two HAVE met?" Spencer started to say no and I said, "Of course we've met, you remember Spence don't you? We met at that party. I'm pretty sure we made out, I'm not sure though it was was hazy. Although I do remember you drooled on me like a St. Bernard." He laughed and so did his friend. Shortly after I excused myself to catch up with my friend, but he came to the second level and found me again anyway. Oh, we had so much fun!

Later we did talk about real things and not fake events, but the humor was and is a great ice breaker.

UPDATE! What a fantastic evening. After little text messages during the day yesterday and a couple today he called this evening to chat. We ended up talking for over an hour and a half! My finger tips are electric!

We have similar conversation style s and he comes across as such a genuine person. We had an open, easy breezy conversation. We spent some time reflecting on our meeting and what we enjoyed about each other as well as discussing different aspects of our lives now from the minute to the larger picture. He even said at one point, "You and I just click, we get a long like peas and carrots." I'm very excited to see where this goes. We even started discussing possibly making plans for this weekend. Yay!

Would anyone care to offer me a little insight into how some of these aspects of our chart compare? I'd appreciate it very much! I noticed we both have an Aries moon. Also, I am all air and fire with the exception of my earth Mercury and he has equal parts earth, water and fire. How could that possibly interact?

His chart:

Rising - Cancer - W
Sun - Pisces - W
Moon - Aries - F
Mercury - Pisces - W
Venus - Taurus - E
Mars - Leo - F
Jupiter - Virgo - E
Saturn - Virgo - E
Uranus - Scorpio - W
Neptune - Saggitarius
Pluto - Libra - A
N. Node - Leo - F

Mine:

Rising Sign ~ Leo - F
Sun ~ Gemini - A
Moon ~ Aries - F
Mercury ~ Taurus - E
Venus ~ Leo - F
Mars ~ Gemini -A
Jupiter ~ Sagittarius - F
Saturn ~ Libra - A
Uranus ~ Sagittarius - F
Neptune ~ Sagittarius - F
Pluto ~ Libra - A
N. Node ~ Gemini - A

Thanks for all the conversation today and I'll keep you updated on the situation. I'm off to dreamland, here's to hoping they are sweet!

This is my recommendation so far since I don't know much detail about your fish. I'll assume he's a pussy 2nd Decan though 'cause that's what 2nd Decan males are good at, playing the woman's role. And thus giving the rest of us Pisces males the faggy overlook...

KP - I looked him up and he's actually a third decan which makes a lot of sense to me now.... that steamy Scorpio influence. I also read a little about second decan Pisces and I have a little more insight into what you posted earlier about them being more sensitive, probably not so much for me. Anyhoo, thought you may like to know this little detail about mine... well, my hopeful. 🙂

Unrelated, I like your new pic. You look very handsome.

Yay!!!! We're getting together this weekend!!! I'm so excited. So far this week he has called me every night to chat and has sent me good morning texts every morning..... *sigh*

Woohoo! Sounds like it's getting off to a great start! Just be your cute self and keep writing and speaking the way you do and that will help too! I know that as a Pisces myself that I love when someone speaks and writes well! 😉
