We see topics everyday, not just here but all around the world. People blaming others, complaining about others and asking more of others. However, how many times do we stop during the day and reflect on ourselves, how we affect the people around us, how we affect ourselves, and what we can do each day to become better people.
What are the values that you wish to cultivate within yourselves to become better people? What are the traits you want to expand and what are the traits you want to reduce?
For I, I wish to become more humble. There are days when I think too highly of myself, I forget those around me who contribute just as much to improvement - both for myself and others. I wish to become humble enough to instantly recognize the worth and importance of everyone around me, without comparing it to myself. I want to see others without fault and without judgement.
I wish to become a kinder person. I wish to become the sort of person who can recognize the suffering of others and relieve that suffering. I want to see others happiness as my own. It isn't enough to have, for if only I have then I am empty. It is only when I can see that I have given to others and filled their hearts that I can truly feel that I have and am a human being.
I wish to become less judgemental. I wish to see others faults as simply challenges. Challenges that should not be judged, challenges that shouldn't cause me to cast them away, but as challenges to be overcome through themselves and any help that I can provide.
I wish to be useful. Everyday, I wish to be useful to someone. Everyday improving my own life as well as others. Even if it's something simple as helping them by giving them a few dollars to listening to their problems. I want to be useful to more than just myself.
What is it that you ask of yourself each day to grow as people? What is it that you ask to improve the lives of people around you? What are the things inside that you strive for as people?
Sweet P, that?s what im doing and its great. Sometimes its scary and lonely, but then you?ll meet people doing the same as you and make friends really quickly.
Im Libra, and i want to stop putting EVERYONE before myself. Im trying to be too kind to too many people, and i end up making myself unhappy. I want to be wise in all areas of life most of all, and loved by someone special. I dont care about money, or superficial stuff, its worth nothing in the end.
My talking is a sore point with my Aqua man - he tunes out and no longer listens, which is unfortunate when it's something important ! But this is also a male / female issue and with him being a male of masculine (Aqua) and me being the female of feminine (Pisces), but I can live with it, specially with all our fireworks.
I desire to be less reactive, to stop over analyzing everything, I wish to be fearless in love and in life, I just want to be who I am and be okay with that and most of all be able to be okay with others decision about me be it good, bad or indifferent.
My Aqua has had to put up with 4 years of my non-stop talking. But it's okay, it's about time I learnt to get to the point and stop with so much chatter. 🙂
