Will Aries man come back arround ?

I read much about this and most of posts in internet say they will if you give them space. My question is the same : Will Aries man come back after a quarrel ? Was his fault in this situation, He treated me cold and I can't accept that coldness . We were good friends, but at the end he acted cold . We had a quarrel on this topic and asked him what he feels for me. Well, the questions was after the quarrel , normally should be before the quarrel to can get a true answer. Influenced by the qurrel he answered : I will take some space for a while because we both need to be calm and pass this. I will contact you later.
Well, I did not understood what means "space" for him , but he completelly is dead now no message, nothing. I should respect his space ? Or I do need care for him asking if he is ok or simple things like this ? I just let it like this and gave him his space now . We had a wondeful relationship , we was happy together, he promised he will be my friend forever and will never give up our friendship. Is their words true ? What they promise they will do ?
By the way, how an Aries reacting when he has some personal problems ( for example in his family hppen something ) ? Will they share this or just keep cold /talk less ?
