Saturn in the 4th house

Hello. Is there anyone on here who is older than 30 and had Saturn in the 4th house or Saturn in Sag? If so, what happened during your Saturn return?

The Saturn return calculator online says that I will enter my Saturn return from Dec 2016 to Sept. 2017. So I was wondering what specifically Saturn would want from a 4th house placement.

Well check the aspects to your natal saturn....any conj, opp, trines or squares..

But 4th house it will be related to your home...you'll either be confined to your home, or you'll sell it, or other...

My Moon trines Saturn and my sun squares Saturn. also have neptune and uranus in the 4th house.

And yeah, I read online that it could mean confinement to the house, caring for an elderly family member. But I don't really have any elderly family members.

No but I have Saturn in Pisces in the 4th.

And I felt extremely restricted and stifled in my childhood. From as early as 4 years old. I was a very clever child... In-terms of just understanding things about my family and how people expected me to behave at a very, very young age. I knew I couldn't be myself or express myself the way I wanted to because of the reactions I would get from relatives and family members, so I hid the real me for a long time. All the way up until the age of 16-17. But I still found creative ways to express myself secretly.

Anyway, this is irrelevant and off-topic. But I think Saturn in the 4th is an interesting and tough placement.

Yeah, I was definitely restricted as a child. We weren't even allowed to go outside and play when I was a kid. I had some mentally unstable family members also.

Sun square or opposition Saturn is commonly associated with cold, strict fathers, having an inferiority complex, being fearful of authority and feeling very uncomfortable under the solar spotlight. It can be all those things but I want to look at this so called ‘malefic’ aspect in another way. Saturn is only a ‘bad thing’ because Patriarchy tends to be experienced as oppression rather than support. Those of us who feel we have no sovereignty will find ourselves enslaved by Saturnian traits of authority, fear mongering and control. Therefore we will project these attributes onto how we experience Saturn in our natal chart or by transit.

There are many factors that determine whether you will see Saturn as Satan himself or whether you will see him as a wise old druid and a rock to lean on. If Saturn is in a day chart, well dignified or on a fantastic star, then even these hard aspects will not necessarily make Saturn malefic forever. What the aspect will show is the nature of the struggle that has to take place in order for you to re-claim your Saturn and become your own authority.

The square is a Martian aspect, so combined with Sun/Saturn, makes it a real powerhouse. Sun square Saturn then can be the aspect of over-achievement as these subjects feel the need to really prove themselves to the world.

Probably issues surrounding your father, or career, or choosing a career that YOU want as opposed to what your parents want, since Uranus isn't far...smth like this.

Ok, this makes sense. I do struggle career wise and have switched jobs quite often.
