Air Signs and mirroring

So j keep reading about this and I do this so much. If you have a lot of air in your chart and you are dating another air sign how do you get past this?

You can't...it's just part of the Air personality. I've been doing it all my life....However a person treats me is pretty much the same way I treat them...especially if I've already tried to compromise, which is rare for me. As an Air sign, I've never had an issue putting myself in another person's shoes and trying to see how something would make that person feel if I did something wrong, so I compromise a lot without even trying. When it gets to the point where my kindness and sincerity is not being reciprocated, then I will flip the script and act just like that person. If they don't talk to me, then I won't talk to them...It's just that simple. May not always be the right thing to do, but I think it's just one of those faulty traits of Air signs.

Soooooo after all that and to answer your question....lol. You guys will probably stay on that roller coaster and nothing will ever get resolved because no one wants to give in. I've never really dated an Air sign that I can remember, but I definitely needed someone who is sorta opposite of my personality.

Ok so how do I break that? I suffer from the double whammy water and air mirroring. I didn't realize I was doing it until a long time friend pointed it out to me.

Well, now that you know you're doing it, see if you can work on different methods of changing it. Figure out what you're willing to compromise on and what things you stand for and that you can't change. I don't know how old you are, but I do know that as I got older, I relinquished my stuborness just a little if it's someone that I truly love and care about and they matter that much too me.

Mid 30s. Yes now that I'm aware of it I need to try to break that habit. Regardless of other person's attitude at the moment. Thanks!

Is it common for air moons and air risings to do this as well? I feel like I have this tendency.

Oh my gosh, I'm very Aqua and Gemini and I do this so much it's embarrassing, like to the point of mirroring accents. I was dating someone with a non English accent for years, (I'm from England) and people were always asking me "where are you from?" Cos not only did I mirror his accent but even his speech patterns and incorrect use of phrases etc. it makes you look like a sociopath or liar but I really can't help it cos I feel the need to Ingratiate myself with others and make them feel comfortable and so unconsciously I do it. Trying to stop that habit now but it's hard to break lol.
