1)So - is there any way to tell if you are predominantly Solar / Emissive or predominantly Lunar / Receptive, just from your natal astrology chart? The answer is a resounding YES! And the basic answer to this question can be determined just by looking at the placements of the Sun and Moon, and the interaction between them.

Solar / Yang / Emissive:
Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Lunar / Yin / Receptive:
Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

2)Look at the respective sign placements of your Sun and Moon.
3)Find the Sun / Moon Midpoint as the Tie-Breaker.

~ Solar Emissive ~

Sun Pisces / Moon Aquarius
Midpoint ~ LEO ..

DISPOSITOR of Mid-Point LEO is SUN ...Sun is strong & thus "becomes a strong ally or reinforcer of the Sun / Moon Midpoint and its expression."

Major Aspect/s to SUN: Uranus (domicile ruler of 11th) @ 0?? orb + planet Pluto & Asc giving Sun, giving an additional "power boost" of expression.

***
..Of the most Emissive Fire signs, Leo takes first place among them, since it is the DOMICILE, or Rulership sign of the Sun, which is the Emissive Luminary and the most Emissive planet in astrology.

I read this from the linked site:
Step One: Look at the respective sign placements of your Sun and Moon. If your Sun and Moon are both in Solar / Emissive signs, you are predominantly Solar / Emissive. And if your natal Sun and Moon are both in Lunar / Receptive signs, you are predominantly Lunar / Receptive. These cases are simple. The problem comes is you have your Sun in a Solar / Emissive sign, and your Moon in a Lunar Receptive sign (direct current), or if you have your Sun in a Lunar / Receptive sign, and your Moon in a Solar / Emissive sign (alternating current). Then, the Emissive / Receptive polarity situation is more complicated, and requires an additional determining factor or factors.

My sun/moon are both receptive signs!? so would I be receptive, not emissive?

Yes, because you already have 2 out of 3 before going to the midpoint..
