i'm sure most of you know about the whole deal of the constellations shifting and their being a new zodiac sign, Ophiuchus.

here's just a really basic link if you never heard about it:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/13/new-zodiac-sign-dates-oph_n_808567.html#s223675&title=DSW<BR>

and the other night i was talking to an astronomer, who was basically saying the same thing, that western astrology hasn't really considered the shift of degrees in the zodiac, whilst eastern astrology has been constantly adapting to it.

basically, the earth is on this tilt. and through time, lots and lots of time, we've wobbled. and the tilt has moved by about 30 degrees, which is about 30 days, which means that each sign would go back a month.

so being a leo, i'm actually a cancer, the way the dates fall.
it would also change the placing of all my other planets, i imagine.
and actually, i'm not totally upset about it because i know i have alot of characteristics of cancer.
my venus is also in cancer (well now it would be in gemini, i think) but i've been able to identify with characteristics of cancer because of that, so now this shift seems like less of a big deal.
anyways, so i feel like because for me my chart kind of finds itself in the same couple constellations, that these new descriptions for myself wouldn't be too far off.

i guess i wanted to know what you all think of that.
if it changes your views on astrology and if you would consider these new signs.
are you familiar with eastern astrology?
if you know stuff and have any information for me that would be awesome.
