Experience a presense of another person?

Has anyone experience feeling like a person you're involved with is "there" when they're not there? Like all of a sudden you get this vivid and intense feeling about someone. Can it mean that the other person is thinking about them or what? Any thought?

Well I gotta say I do feel that way.....growing up as a kid was hell, I could 'feel' alot of feelings around me from total strangers......it frustrated me beyond belief, I always walked around with my head down (my parents suspected that I had a self-esteem problem, I was too young then to even have developed a 'self' sense) I was tired all the time and just messed up....I had to learn to dull my feelings becuase they were so acute it just messed with me....I can still feel to this day with the same sharpness, but since I dull my feelings...I'm loosing it....
