anyway... i have a cancer sun and moon male friend. one would think this combo would be detrimental for a guy but he's the least extreme of a cancer i've ever known. yeah, he definitely has major typical traits but he's rather emotionally balanced. his other main mood than happiness is sulkiness but he's relatively easy to deal with even in that state. i ran his chart one day and it said that because his sun and moon are conjunct, even though in emotional cancer, he would most likely be balanced because emotions match ego creating less confusion regarding oneself.
