my birthday is april 1st 1987. I wouldn't be able to say whether or not I think that the "eclipse" or any trine thing or any of that has an effect on my chart because I do not

This version of translation of light happens when the two main significators have not as yet perfected their aspect in the ephemeris. They are brought together by the action of another faster moving planet separating from one significator and applying to the other by major aspect within the moiety of orbs. More than one pair of planets can be translated by a fast moving planet.
Although the three outer planets are never used as main significators, they can be involved in translations of light.

The 1987 Aries Solar Eclipse had Jupiter in Aries, Saturn and Uranus in Sagittarius, Mercury and Venus in Pisces, and Mars in Taurus. You would think a New Moon conjunct Jupiter would be favorable, but in that eclipse I believe the joker in the deck was the New Moon biseptile Uranus, always an unpredictable irrational factor that marks changes in "destiny." Interestingly enough Mercury was in Pisces then just as it was in the recent eclipse, with (surprise!) a Jupiter square Neptune, just like now. That struck me as very strange. Of course, that one was a lower, or "waxing" square, while this one is an upper, or "waning" square, but the effects of both are very similar.
