I recently noticed that I have Saturn, Uranus and Pluto retrograde in my chart. I wasn't sure what this all meant but did some digging and found a site that provided some info on the meanings of retrograde planets in the natal chart. Very, very interesting I have to say.

Here are the brief descriptions I found on each:

Mercury Retrograde
* reconsiders before speaking
* lots of inner conversation and thoughts
* expresses self better in writing
* feels misunderstood

Venus Retrograde
* reconsiders before expressing love or affection
* relates awkwardly to others
* doubts the love others offer
* can become obsessed in relationships
* feels let down by the commitment level of others

Mars Retrograde
* reconsiders before expressing anger
* finds competitive situations hard to handle
* tends to repress and so ....
* can become depressed

Jupiter Retrograde
* has doubts about what they deserve and so ...
* finds it easy to settle for crumbs
* feels superior in some way inside
* abundance is felt on the inside
* looks inside for answers to religious questions

Saturn Retrograde
* feels inside that they're never good enough
* indulgent outward behavior may mask inner feelings of inadequacy
* hides fears

Uranus Retrograde
* reconsiders outward expressions of rebelliousness
* feels inside that they are different
* outward conformist behavior masks inner feelings of non-conformity or ...
* goes out of their way to upset others apple carts
* has a difficult time finding their niche in society

Neptune Retrograde
* feels guilty inside and so ....
* tends to blame themselves when things go wrong
* super sensitive inside and so .....
* puts on a tough skinned mask

Pluto Retrograde
* keeps their chin up during crisis because .....
* they want to keep inner upheavals private
* they get what they want by acting like they don't care

The site also said that when your North and South Nodes are retrograde, you have a strong indication that these lessons have carried forward over several previous lifetimes.

DP here's the fuller description it gave of Venus Retro:

A natal Venus retrograde can cause you difficulty achieving fulfillment or finding your right romantic partner. You may be more in love with your ideas about love than you are with any real person you know. In karmic terms, you need to complete a life lesson about giving and receiving love and affection. You are here to determine what is truly of value to you and learn about creating a balance of give and take in your romantic life. Your romantic dialogue has a tendency to be far too internal at times, causing you to inhibit the flow of good things into your life. You will have to be willing to experience loving and being loved in order to attract what you desire into your life and create the feelings of security you need.

I have no idea how accurate this is btw. But the description of Saturn retrograde was spot on for me.

I also remember having gone through real bad crushes with girls, where I never really dared talking to them but pretty much had a proper relationship with them in my head hahah

I think that was Venus in retro partially as well

YES!!! I have done the same thing!! Crushing on someone I only know from afar or -even better- someone I've met online.

Whoa. This is spot on, though no one close to me would either guess it or expect me to admit it. Especially hiding fears, I am the type to become assertive in the face of a fear but that is because I hate the fact that the fear is there.

FWIW to my understanding Saturn represents how you express your purpose through your work. I am in a position where my purpose and work are finally one in the same and for the first time I question myself constantly, even when I get together with my peers and outperform them all I can see is what personal expectations I fell short of and how I need to be better.

On the bright side because of this I do know that I am far more capable than I give myself credit for thanks to those around me who express their impressions when they see me perform but knowing and believing are not interconnected like they should be with me.

My ex who was an amature astrologer said that Saturn in Scorpio Retrograde was probably the worst possible placement one could have for Saturn because it would make one obsessed with finding their purpose, then making their purpose their profession and then further obsessing on acheiving perfection once the prior two steps have been achieved. I was hoping she was just saying that because it was after a bad break up :p
