Anyone ever taken aback at times with statements attributed to some house placements you possess?
For me, I have Capricorn in my VI house.
I recently reread this statement on a site: House VI in Capricorn: Works hard, unceasingly and patiently. Weak point: the cold, changes in temperature.
This completely gave me a 'woah' moment. I have Reynaud's syndrome which is a physiological reaction in which the body cannot respond appropriately to cold (and sometimes other triggers such as stress). I get cold really easily, especially in my hands and feet (such as right now actually). When this happens, parts of my body don't receive oxygen and turn blue or grey. Sometimes it's pretty scary since I live in a cold area and it has effected as high as to my knees and elbows. There's a chance of necrosis and gangrene due to the ischemic tissue. From speaking to doctors, it is said to feel like frostbite. I keep extra gloves, socks, and hot packs that climbers and construction workers use (just open a package and shake - instant 8 hr heat). It hurts to recirculate with heat and movement, really badly - but it has to be done. It takes me awhile to do things that require leave any type of warmth, because I can't help but be resistant.
One that really stuck out to me recently: Neptune in the 3rd House
"In your communications, you can quickly put others at ease, as you seem to intuitively understand them. You express yourself creatively, imaginatively, and with great charm. However, you might also encourage, without even knowing it, misunderstandings, as you rarely are definite in what you say. Learning, especially when young, can be challenged only because you might lack discipline or the style of learning is not creative enough to hold your interest."
When I was in elementary school my teachers would get frustrated with me because I never seemed to be paying attention. They'd be giving directions and I'd be poking my fingers through plastic bags, drawing/coloring, etc. But when asked if I knew what they just said, I was able to repeat it word for word. I just apparently appeared bored or distracted. I had my IQ tested on two separate occasions because they kept insisting I was "gifted" and not being challenged in the mainstream classroom.
Turns out I scored only borderline "gifted" actually...wish they could have read this and they would have understood that it wasn't that I was too smart, it was just that I wasn't being challenged creatively.
"You radiate intensity, and others' first impressions of you tend to be strong, one way or the other. You might often intimidate others with your manner. You can be very protective of your privacy, yet you generate much intrigue and interest with your strong presence. You might struggle with fears of being overpowered, rejected, or minimized, yet few are able to guess that you could be anything less than confident. Your first instinct in new situations is gutsy and determined, defensive and intense. You rarely accept the obvious or the surface of matters -- instead you look through situations in order to read any information on hidden levels. Strive to avoid getting your back up or viewing life as a battleground."
These are all very interesting! I especially find it interesting for two reasons:
1. The level of acceptance for traits, being both negative and positive - of sorts. 2. The reoccurring statements of 'combination' of traits and how they fit and piece together rather than getting 'lost in the mix'.
The native is drawn to unusual states of consciousness where the spirit is felt on occasion to leave the body and contact other levels of consciousness. This is hard for others who are not keyed to the realities that Pisces knows to understand or accept. The native has hidden talents that even he/she is not aware of, except in times of emergency when he/she is able to perform functions or rise to states of consciousness which he/she never anticipated. The native has an other-worldly attitude, which is perhaps more irregular and unusual than other Neptune positions. The power of sexuality is a potent force for the native. The nature of Pisces is compassion, and in a material sense, the native is likely to be called on to meet obligations and responsibilities to satisfy his/her inner needs.
This scares me a bit. I've had some very odd experiences concerning certain 'states'. If any VIII Pisces come across this - let's talk.
I'm also advised to avoid water. I once almost drowned as a child and was saved by a babysitter.

How about yours?
