Virgo will like that their Cancer is a homey type of person that likes elegance & if not cleaniness, atleast order in their environment. In the beginning, Virgo will understand & admire a Cancer's ability to be very in touch with their emotions b/c they will coin this as their Cancer being very intellectual. But eventually, Cancer will be over-sensitive alot of the times & Virgo will start to realize that their Cancer is too emotional. Virgos like to live in the LOGIC (only dealing with emotions as a LAST resort) while Cancers live in their emotions (as a FIRST resort) & this will turn off the both of you.

Cancer will eventually start to feel that their Virgo just doesn't understand them or doesn't admire them for who they are emotionally. And that's b/c Virgos aren't ones to wear their hearts on their sleeves. Where Cancer needs VERBAL assurance all the time, Virgo would rather SHOW you better than they can TELL you how much they adore you. And b/c Cancers need that verbal reassurance, they will often mistake a Virgos quiteness or non-emotional state as them not caring about or understanding them. The relationship will be overall enriched with emotions, good & bad.

Not to mention, Cancer & Virgo both have the toughest time acknowledging faults in themselves. They are both prone to point out flaws/faults in others, while not being able to turn the mirror on themselves, thus the personal growth in the relationship will usually be at a minimum b/c of both their unwillingness to be taught or criticized from someone other than themselves. It can work, but it will either be very rocky or very smooth. It's usually one or the other though
