In the bed....
It depends on how my scales are that day LOL...I can be sweet, romantic,~~ aggressive take control the next... I have never had a man make me feel intimidated though..Nervous a few but then I melted like butter...Sounds like you need to feel more at ease with your body and the way it moves. More aware of your body if that makes sense. I am by all means not a sex expert lol, but I know feeling confident with your body makes things way better. ( Not saying your not) Just stating it seems that way....
That could def be it! I had a baby a year and a half ago and I am very unhappy with my body! I have started working out just recently...
I'd say that is what it is then. I'm sure you have a awesome body, and just think it isn't. In a years span you have had time to drop that baby weight, but still see yourself wearing it~ Follow me? ...You need to know you are beautiful on the inside and out, and that guy you are with~ Well he wouldn't be there making love to you if he couldn't see it for himself. So, let go and know just how beautiful you are. Then the sparks will fly and you will be enjoying the sex more!!!
I am NOT shy at all. Sometimes I initiate but for the most part my partner TAKES control. I don't feel that I have anything unattractive about me. Maybe my attitude at times but I say take it or leave it. I haven't been left yet! LOL! I agree with Libragal, i guess having control over your body and just feeling beautiful inside and out just means EVERYTHING, whether you believe it or not.

i was even told i came off as slightly prude upon meeting me.

For me... I think it depends on my partner... my X had me so comfortable with whatever I felt like I could say, do or initiate anything in the bedroom... Since him i'm like a cold turkey! I feel so shy, quiet and don't know what to say do! The last guy I was with the aqua guy i'm sitting back asking myself why it was so boring!
