As a Capricorn, Sometimes I Feel....

I have often read that Capricorns go through dark periods or black moods (Depression) and that we are the only ones who can get ourselves out of it. I am a jovial person with a witty disposition but sometimes I can smile and noone would ever guess the war on the inside of me and how I feel. Does any other Capricorns go through this or is this just a phase and maybe I am over stressing a mood? Positive feedback please.

You all have described exactly the things Capricorns internalize and go through often. I read somewhere that we get depressed being born as winter babies in the cold and wintry season. Music is a great elixar for sure. War I know exactly what you mean about the stress. I really try NOT to be pessimistic and also not worry about work or money BUT it's hard not to. This book I have said Capricorns fear failure and poverty so naturally we are worried about our future and being siccessful. it really makes me do a double take at how the other signs are so carefree and take life as it comes. For instance, I have a cousin who likes to stay in a bubble world letting life come to him as it flies by. He's forever saying that he doesn;t know why God made Capricorns to worry so much, laughs. When I am depressed or going through my moods I too am the only one I want to deal with, others would definitely brign some pity of which they have no understanding about us or our emotions at the time so at best I "bottle things up" which is bad on our system. As I grow older I see how our body reacts to stress. When I get too stressed out and can't sleep I break out, my stomach problems resurface and I'm just not a happy camper. Thanks for the input!

This is very true actually ... I don't fear failure as much as poverty -- I fear success actually because I know the higher up you go the faster someone wants to knock you down. Its the same with popularity, there are people who don't want someone else 'in the spotlight' more than themselves, so they do things to make them look bad.


I'm more worried about the present than the future because the present shapes the future.

Well, its hard for me to focus on the future really -- thats rare to hear a capricorn say that, but I have to be honest.


Thinking ahead is something I just won't/can't do -- I'm too focused on today. The future can be scary because you don't really know thats going to happen. However, you have an idea based on whats going with you or around you.

I totally agree. You do have more control and power over what's going on at the moment than the future but your future will shape itself according to what you did. Capricorns go about life very logically and do it naturally. That's why you're mostly defined as practical

Well, some of us try to be logical but sometimes we trip and fall down muddy hills. Its a same because during that time, we actually think we are doing things right haha

Well what I've noticed with Caps is that they always go about life very logically and very consistent with that too, no matter phases they go through that remains. The only place I've seen Caps struggle with logic is in relationships.

hmmmm, point taken ... you know, but you know ....


Scorpios do this too, they go about things in a consistant manner as well, the only time they fall is when they doubt themselves or when they can't live up to what they have created.

A scorpio who loses confidence is a scorpio who loses strength. They care very deeply but they don't trust too easily. Its a crazy cycle with scorpios.

My buddy that I still have a slight crush on is like this. He finally started trusting me haha, to the point where he would admit to how he would cry about certain things but I SWORE ME TO SECRECY -- he's a tough guy, no one is suppose to know that stuff 🙂 But me 😄

Yes I think Scorps can be consistent but they are less consistent than they appear and are better strategist than they appear as well. I think Scorps seem consistent because the end result is the same as always, so people will assume that they were consistent all the way but reality is that a Scorpio is very shifty (highs and lows). They may bounce quickly and react forcefully with strategy to catch up on what was lost while they were down which may get people to think they were consistent the whole time but the people closest to them will see their lows. Caps are simply consistent there will be there every single day, doing the same thing over and over again no matter how good or bad they feel about it. They will do it, if it is what is set to be done.

The only time I struggle with logic is with scorpios.

For sure, but me there is always a reason. There are times when I get a forlorn feeling that I can't explain. It feels like I am searching for something or someone, and I miss them, but it's not depression.

I think Capps become depressed because we have high expectations of ourselves and everyone around us. When we or they don't meet those expectations we become hard on ourselves. Caps are human after all.

First and formost don't expect other people to understand or care about our problems, because in the end they are only our problems.

I once had a cappy lady friend who went through boughts of depression. As a cappy male I knew exactly what she needed so I took her out to a place that was very fimilar to her (usually a restaurant or a pub). We ate, and talked and talked. It was good for her constitution to have some one who was there to make her feel important.

As for myself, I simply call up my friends and hang out. Sometimes I want to be alone, so I stay indoors and write. For me depression never last long. It may have something to do that I am a Monkey Capricorn and we are too jovial to be sad for long. Other Cappys aren't too lucky. ; )

I haven't been on a date in God knows how long and have been single for the past 4 yrs. Sometimes I feel like my relationship part of my life has been cursed or something, maybe it's just me. Anyone else feel like this?

Don't give up on the hope to meet someone. I think we Capricorns are more conservative in choosing who to share our true selves even in friendships, because it turns into a huge investment of our time. We think way too much. I just had a fallout with a Cancer guy, so I do wonder these days if I will ever find anyone who matches me, but I'm going to use the goat tenacity to find one no matter how long it takes 😉 I sometimes envision myself finding the right man at a retirement home...lol...

I kind of fell out with a Cancer guy too. I keep saying it but noone wants to hear me-Cancers may be our opposite and opposites supposedly attract but not with us. Cancers like to play games and when you don't Bend or let them manipulate you they sulk. They WHINE tooo much for me. Thanks for your encouragement, at this point though I really am just gonna let it work itself out. If I meet someone fine and if not fine. I get so tired of people saying "Wow, you're single? Why? Oh you are so pretty, how come you single?" I be like DUH is Love by Force?

Well I did have a relationship with another cancer before and he was actaully great. Only he had to leave the country so I had to end it 😢 This recent cancer was totally different. It was great at first...but it started to feel like he wanted me to be someone else in a very indirect, but enormously forceful way. Otherwise I learned two new habits from him, and he kindly pointed out my flaws in an super charged emotional fit...lol..., so I'm trying to think it was a benefit for me 🙂 It took a load of stress off my shoulders by thinking this way. I hope you can reflect on your experience and polish yourself for the next guy who gets the chance to open up your heart 🙂

One thing both cancers had in common was mumbling...like when I said something they didn't like both mumbled their complaints without eye contact which made me have this dark gut wrenching feeling that I hurt them in someway. Also...both talked a lot about their ex-girlfriends. Those were the things that bothered me a lot.

AS A CAPRICORN, SOMETIMES I FEEL.... Horrible, Like the past couple of weeks, months, days, etc.
