So, I'm in a rut. My former Cap best friend (female), has been trying to contact me for the last 2-3 months. We haven't spoken in 3 years this summer.
I just need to vent a little but do Caps often do this? I've had other close friendships and all of them have moved on, never bothered to contact me again, blah blah.
We were best friends for 6 almost 7 years, but we grew apart and honestly, it was a strange ending. I wrote in a previous topic about her that it was one of those falling outs where nothing had to be said. We just knew what it was about. We knew why we fell apart without words being exchanged. It wasn't a devastating, bitter, "I'll hate you until the day I die" type of ending. It was just...meh.
I don't know. Maybe this type of behavior isn't restricted to just Caps. But somehow, I think it is.
But for some reason, I haven't found the courage to call her back after she's left me messages at my old phone (old house turned office). She found my new house number in the phone book (no one in my family has given it to her) and now she has called three times.
I don't want to talk to her but I don't know why exactly. I don't know if I'm just bitter, or I can't believe she cared enough to want to talk to ME, or maybe I feel we have become too different for us to "work" again...Help me figure this out.
