I'm a Capricorn (although I've always felt more like an Aqua), and when I read on about Cappy traits I feel totally lost. The only part that describes me perfectly is that I am REALLY, REALLY stubborn. I know that being a third decan Cap gives me Aquarian traits, but it's really difficult for me to know. My moon sign is a Sagittarius also. Anyone have any input on something like this? I've done my natal chart and all, but if there's anything else I can go by to better understand my astrological symbols that would be neat!

Also, could anyone tell me the REAL dates for the cap/aqua cusp? I get a lot of mixed dates online so I can't be entirely sure. Some say it begins on the 14th and others on the 19th. I was born on the 17th.

i know a cap man that is actually quite emotional and sensitive. he has a pisces moon though. the cap part in him makes him incapable of expressing anything verbally. i've seen it come out in just about every other way though. he's incredibly expressive with his face. u know exactly what he's thinking just by looking at him. he also writes with great passion in his words. u can't tell just by looking at him, because his demeanor is aloof, but if ur willing to wait around for a year or so u'll get to see the powerful lover in him.

I find most caps to be quite hidden with emotions.
However I know a cap with Saggi moon and scorp mars who is much more expressive. He difintely doesn't draw attention to his emotions and doesn't obviously let them interfere in his life but the expressive, outgoing moon means it's usually quite clear to see.
He also has a very solid, supportive family which I think helps him feel more comfortable and confident emotionally

Born Jan 17? Yep, you are on the Aquarius-Capricorn Cusp alright -- at the beginning of it actually ^_^. I'm a fellow cuspian but I'm on the Saggie-Capricorn Cusp -- the very last day lol

The myth about emotionless capricorns is really just a myth. The capricorn have a hard exterior that helps them suceed in life. That hard exterior hides our sensitivity to the point where it can be buried so deep inside that not even we are aware of it. No wonder other people aren't aware of it either.

Snowchild is RIGHT! This is so true. However, I tend to go back and forth alot. One minute I'm warm then the next I'm like, "Get away from me" lol, I'm not sure what my deal is but I'm getting better 🙂

I don't think you can be first ( prays that you are not first).

And what is this supposed to mean—

I was just playing. You seem more effusive than most first decaners I know. That's all.

Moon sign plays a role in that 😉 but its more complicated when we start talking about the degrees of earth signs.

Hey now

Shaks knows what he's talking about, trust me 🙂

He's analyzed long enough ^_^.

On a serious note, he's right and he hits all the right points. Which pretty much sum all up -- don't take yourself too seriously.

Usually (and this is for all earth signs -- Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo), taking yourself too seriously along with always trying to stay within your own element will ultimately lead to any earth signs downfall.

Thats what Shaks was trying to say in his own way of course, its not about: shouldas, couldas and wouldas -- its about, 'Okay, what am I going to do next'. Regardless of how terrible a situation maybe, its important to move forward because you can never move backwards nor can you remain in the same place in your life.

You have to keep moving.

Well said Mr.Virgo 🙂

THAT! sums up one of the biggest struggles Ive had to deal with, financial security vs working for a meaningful cause. One thing that I was totally convinced of before starting college was that I WOULD NOT work for some capitalist company and help make them richer, I HATE that corporate environment and life style , on the other hand I understand it does give more economical security yet...I realised later on that security is an illusion and that for the most part you make your own destiny. I think Im pretty sure right now of the type of work I'd like to do after college, I really wanna work for some United Nations related development organization, but hopefully not doing boring office work but rather being directly involved with people at the places where things happen, etc.

Yesterday I spoke to a friend of mine who has been very involved in a Foundation that takes homeless children from street in South America and gives them shelter, education, etc. We have this idea of starting our own Foundation in the future, its all only ideas right now but he has the drive and the heart in the right place and Im the same way. He's my best friend from childhood (a gem). I really really feel I have enough enthousiasm to get something like that started! Its hard though.

Lol!

Listen to shaks talking about "important" things in life. It's ok for him to do it but not for us... Talk about double standard... But of course, he??ll find another explenation why it's ok when HE??s thinking about the bigger things in life and when we do it we are "taking ourselves too seriously"...

That was for shaks.

Snow, in a way you are right. In the end everyone takes themselves seriously. I am starting to wonder what that even means.

OOOO, I'll explain 😉

See, to take yourself too seriously is simply this. Its like when you agonize over things that have come and gone. I tend to do this too but after I vent or do something similiar to that, I can usually work on getting over it.

That's just worrying and whining. Its not taking life seriously.

People who smoke dope all day and don't make plans even for today are people who don't take life seriously. Anyone else who actually makes plan, you are taking it seriously.

And that's a response to your post too shaks.

...

sb, I didn't say not to take life seriously -- I was just piggy-backing off of what Shaks said that its important to not take life (yourself really) too seriously. I never said to not take life seriously. Plus, I have giving a definition because it seemed as if one was needed lol!

Anyway, its a good thing to take yourself seriously but not too seriously.

Yep, its important for one's self to take life seriously, but taking too far can wreck anything in your life.
