I thought this is interesting....

************************
The Moon
The Moon is the most important 'planet' in relationships. The Moon represents deep security needs, and it is difficult to be with with someone who does not offer us what our Moon needs. The element of one's Moon sign and house (I recommend using Porphyry House System) are elements that one's partner must have in a significant way if we are to be compatible with them, or at least one of these two elements (if there are two). If one's partner is not strongly made up of the same element of one's Moon sign and/or house, then strong harmonious aspects between one's Moon and the partner's chart could also create a harmonious Moon connection.

It says: "strong harmonious aspects between one's Moon and the partner's chart could also create a harmonious Moon connection." I look at my chart and see more fire and air than earth and water (although I am Taurus sun). My cappy's moon is Libra; Libra is an air sign. His chart shows more earth and water; my moon is Virgo, which is earth...

I thought it is an interesting way of comparing two charts - this astrologer compares not just sign-sign but overall; one?s moon to other?s chart.

GEG, that means you and your cap have pretty powerful connection.

It is also important to realize that the Sun, Moon and Ascendant are the most important points to consider in a relationship. They seem to have greater weight, and favorable conditions from these 3 between the two people involved will tend to override any negative indicators by the other planets. It is common place to see that lasting and important relationships are usually the ones where these 3 (or the majority) indicators exchange places. For instance, if your Moon sign is the other's Sun sign, and the other person's Moon sign is your Ascendant, or any combination of these, etc...

My Asc and my cap's Moon are both Libra. And he has a greater chance that his Asc is Virgo and my Moon is Virgo....kind of scary. Some sites say (like this one) it is a very positive and highly compatible aspects (they say one of the soulmates indicators). And other say it is not. So maybe I shouldn't get caught up too much, but will find out by actually seeing what happens to me and my cap.

Not really, Gemgem. Your Sun (gem) and his Moon (aries) is sextile sign, while his Sun (cap) and your moon is opposed sign. Sexitle supposed to be "stimulating" while Trine is "smooth", "easy", and has ?natural flow? I am not an expert but sextile sign and actual sextile (which means 30 degree part) are different and according to what I have read latter is more powerful, but both are positive.

This is what they say about those aspects:

Sun trine or sextile Moon:
This is a very harmonious arrangement and almost has the same feeling as the conjunction. The two of you will have much in common and complement each other?s strengths and make up for each other?s weaknesses. This combination can endure much hardship and strain within a relationship before there is temptation to call it quits, which is why this one of the indications of a lasting relationship. However, when it breaks apart, the feeling of tragedy is not so apparent. Breakups tend to be amicable when they happen.
