You do not need to posess their preception, experiences, and temperament to understand a person. I don't need to posess your temperament to understand it. When I talk to people who are different from me I may not agree with how they think but I do understand the 'why' I can almost feel them for a second... and like eliza said, because I CHOOSE to. I don't have to but I feel compelled to, only because I see the world as a wide spectrum of colors. We all choose our default colors. And I am aware of how limited my version of existence is... then again, it only is what I think it is. It only is what you think it is. It only is what we agree it is.

There is some people who you understand more than others of course. It's about thinking patterns and style s. There might be someone who I completely disagree with... BUT their reasoning makes sense... you know just why they don't agree with you. And then there is that person who AGREES with you but you don't understand quite WHY. They're thinking style is so different from yours that without probing into their mind they just don't make sense ALTHOUGH they are seemingly standing where you are. And you may agree on everything but who knows... I might say what I do because I feel a certain way, I see it a certain way... maybe I don't even know how I know it and someone else has a neat little pile of facts in their brain... mmmmmhuh

OMG I just met this guy who is sooooo very similar to me. It really is crazy when you meet someone like that. Who thinks the way you do, same tastes, same sense of humor, same temperament, similar experiences, likes doing the same things as you. It's almost weird! We are so alike that we think about the same things at the same time, we could be chit chatting away and it's like running with it... smoothly... because you don't have to explain yourself and they don't either. And some people think I have a weird sense of humor because they don't always get what I'm saying... funny things is he's the same way and if you heard us talk you would NEVER guess what in the world we are really talking about sometimes! lol When we go out we notice the exact same things and react the same way... we're not wondering what we're thinking... we know why and then it turns out it reminded us of the same thing. I always know exactly where he's heading with something and vice versa.
