The night we killed the Irish woman

It was in may of 2000. As everyone knows the sun comes up about half three in the morning in may and sets about half ten at night. There were five of us that night at the house on Whitstable Road Den, myself, Anna, the Irish woman annas friend and nigel. This part you will find hard to believe we were having some drinks. Den and anna belong to a team of woman who play rounders. Its a game like american baseball. ( no cricket is not like baseball rounders is like baseball) anyway Den and anna were trying to talk the Irish woman into joining there team.She said she had no idea of how to play so we told her we would teach her. We went to the garden. All we could find to teach her with was a cricket bat and a rubber ball. Den gave the Irish woman the bat and pitched to her she could not catch on. So Den took the bat told her to watch and anna pitched to Den. Mind you im not saying we were drinking long but the sun was starting to come up.Anna pitched the ball , Den swung the Bat ( a cricket bat is about 2 inch thick and 4 across of ash solid) the bat hit the Irish Woman right between the eyes. Irish woman dropped like a rock. I said f--- Den you killed the Irish woman. We could not decide what to do so we took the body in the house through the vestibule and put her on the couch. We then began to go over what should be done so we had some drinks. Later Den and I kind of forgot about her and went up to bed. Seems everone kind of forgot. The next day I woke up and came down for tea about half ten Den was at the table and the Irish woman was cooking eggs pork $ beans and bacon. I said very quite she is humming. Den said right. I said there are no black eyes Den said right. I said does she remember last night Den said I do not think so. I ask why Den said for God sakes Jim shes Irish there heads are like rubber.

It is a true story I was there I know. The Irish woman her name is Imon did not join the rounders team. but her and anna became lovers they are still together. nigel was worried that if he ever got hurt Den and I would just let him lay there and not help him. I told him the fags will kill him before we do. Sometime I will tell you about the trip we made to Irland to castle Island and the trip around the panoramaic Dingel peninsula. Life is short enjoy.
