What Dreams May Come

My daydreams have skyrocketed to all new heights today, having been brought to even bigger light now that I'm a legal adult than ever before. Today, since I wrote a total of 10,000 additional words in just 3.5 hours of writing total, I decided that I didn't want to become an actor or theater major, which I applied to several colleges for. Well, this is my big daydream anyway. I have always thought it would be a dream come true if I were to go to Mars with my generation. So, having taken several personality tests including the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (basically, the military's SATs) I started daydreaming about switching my major after a year of college to what the tests said I should be.

Here's my big daydream:

It would be the most perfect dream come true of a life for me if I could become well known with my first novel, or at least published. Then from there, writing 4-5,000 words every day for the rest of my life, I might have a chance at paying my way through school with literary success. I would like to also discipline myself to live life with minimal sleep so I could get more accomplished in a day, and to do all of my work on time all the time in college thereby increasing my chances at acing tests, and switching to a medical school getting my MD in psychiatry, but improving my general knowledge all along, while minoring in music the whole time. It would be through making myself into a veritable genius and the best of head doctors, or of some kind of medical person, that I would get a job on a mission to Mars with all the glory and adventure that goes with it. An corollary to this would be to end up at 30 years of age and still a virgin, even though paradoxically most of my other daydreams are about girls.

That's what I daydream about, and hope to make into a reality. Someday. And I'm just picking my way there, right now.

interesting question...

There are two types of daydreams for me. One in which I dream I am successful and brilliant and envied and all that yada yada yada. I think everyone can relate to that. I don't have these that frequently though.

The other types is unique. I've only met one other person who has a world in which they day dream in. In my "world" it is the year 5025 in the country of Nedan and Shi'Kar just declared war on my people (after assimilating all 13 realms into one big one). One day hopefully I'll be good enough at writing to be able to write this world into a novel (probably several).

PS- I always wanted to be an astronaut.

OH JOSH!!! ME TOO ME TOO!!! I wish I wish I wish that I could be a successful writer, but I'm worried that my books won't sell, which is why I want to be an editor instead. Bit of course I'll still right, that can't be stopped. I'm going to publish a lot of my poetry in great be anthologies. I want to head an archeological team through Mars. I think that there is a hidden civilization beneath's mars's surface.
