Can this person be trusted?

I have no reason not to trust them, certainly they've always been very forthcoming, however I often get the feeling that they are trying to manipulate me. I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it but something just never feels quite right about them, like they're putting on a front/hiding behind a mask.

Any opinions welcome.

That is true. I just find them hard to suss out at times.

He's definitely a bit of a loner and this, particularly rings true:

I often feel like he doesn't take me at my word and tries to "probe" for a deeper meaning in what I'm saying.

Not sure about the power aspect but he is a self-proclaimed "stubborn, know it all" at times. Which frustrates and annoys the life out of me.

I always forget about the Goodman forums a lot of interesting reading in there I need to make a point of checking there more often.

Yeah, definitely go with your instincts; there is a reason why you feel this. Actually, what's funny is that in my communications professor said that when you first see a person and don't get along with them despite not knowing them, it's because your energy and theirs is crashing and that's what causes the negative emotions. In those cases, it is better for both to keep their distance.

he has an aqua stellium in the 8th house. Probably he's probing you. Finding your weak spots. But not necessarily a bad person, perhaps just figuring out if you're a good person or not. Or if you are trying to take advantage of him, or not. Have you not read 8th house stelliums? or just 8th house in the sun in general? It might change due to having a few more clustered planets together in there.
Also, his mars is in the "fall"...can probably come across as tentative, not sure about you.
if you're both not sure of eachother, you're both gonna go around in circles. Neither of you good or bad, just going back and forth, not sure of eachother. Pluto squaring his Ascendant. Eh, squares are tough for a person in the chart.

This is exactly what it feels like. I'm not sure either of us quite trusts the other. Not necessarily in a bad way like you say. It's more we're unsure of each other....wary for some reason.
