Obsession

Hello everyone, This is my first post on this site so please be gentle. I know next to nothing about astrology except the basic compatibility of sun signs. I really need some help/advice regarding my current situation. I did do several synastry charts and really don't understand how to interpret the information. I need to know if this is life changing relationship or one to be avoided.

I was on a plane on my way to CO to meet my fiance for a ski vacation in December. I noticed this guy at my gate in Denver and thought he was very handsome, but just sort of admired him from afar. One we boarded the plane, he was my seatmate, which is bizarre since it was a completely full 737 plane. To make a long story short we really had a connection with each other unlike anything we have ever felt before. We are both in our early 50's, so we are not teenagers. When we landed we were the last to exit the plane and could barely tear ourselves away from each other. I could not stop thinking about him, but wasn't going to contact him due to my fiance. He called me the next day and left me a voice
mail saying that he really needed to see me again. I was just blown away, because I felt the same
way. During the ski vacation with my fiance, I was distracted and basically miserable all week. What
the heck has happened here? My fiance has noticed that something is wrong between us. The guy from the plane and I have been talking/txting/emailing he says it is fate that we met and wants me to move across the country to be with him. I'm going to visit him in a couple of weeks. I'm in SC and he is in
CO. We both say that it feels like we have known each other forever and feel at home around each other. I'm a Virgo and he is a Gemini....not compatible at all. Can anyone who knows how to read charts give me any insight on this relationship and why he and I are so drawn to each other. I'm thinking of changing my life to be with him. I need to know if this is some infatuation or if this could be the love of my life. Thanks for any help you can offer!!

I loved him but we never really had a passionate relationship. We have common interests and he is a really nice guy. I have never felt thus way in my life about anyone. I feel like I won't be happy now without that kind of intensity in my life

That's helpful to know, because whether or not the Gem is an infatuation, a pretext, a love interest, or a combination of those, something (or things) have clearly come off the rails with the engagement. I respect your being honest.

A Virgo and Gem pairing is, admittedly, a bit unusual. But your sun and his moon are conjunct and vice-versa. I'm not surprised to hear that there is powerful emotional sympatico. You also have a fair amount of Air and Fire in your own chart. I would expect the two of you to clash on fundamentals from time to time, but the emotional draw may be powerful enough to overcome that. It is also my personal opinion that not only do Gems love a challenge, but Virgos do as well. As a Pisces, I can't say that I really "understand" either sign, but on an intellectual and emotional level, I can see it working.

The only real advice I would offer is to not commit to anything prematurely. You both need to see if this will stand the test of time. Relocating to be with him too soon strikes me as a dicey proposition, indeed.

Thanks so much for your advice 🙂.....I know that we have a strong connection but also want to be level headed and not rush into anything. Glad to get some insight on the sun/moon conjunction and the elements in our charts that would explain the I've known you forever feeling.

Your Sun is nearly dead on conjunct to his Moon to the exact minute. In theory, this means you could whip him.


His Sun matches your moon but unfortunately too far wide to be conjunct.


South Node/Venus and Mars contacts can be powerful. Even though yours aren't in the same sign, his South Node is Aqua and your Venus, Mars (or Mercury... I can't remember exactly sorry) and Sun are all in the 11th house.


Your South Node is Pisces and his Mars in in the 12th house.

^That part is an opening explanation to the soul/intensity feeling.


For the instant attraction factor, well he's a Virgo Rising. His Rising is conjunct your Sun.


Also Gemini Moon has an affinity with Mercury in Cancer.

That's all the brief notes I can give you. I don't expect it to make sense but at least it's a lead to doing searches for yourself.

WOW thats really interesting about the nodes and the soul intensity feeling and with the Virgo rising that helps to explain it even more. I'm going to do some research and try to understand synastry more. You have been so helpful and now I don't feel so overwhelmed about trying to understand this this crazy thing that has bitten me.
