"The Rabbit's love of peace manifests itself in a somewhat negative way as a love of comfort. You generally avoid any kind of argument perhaps as much because it would disturb your peace of mind as because you are basically a timid soul and wither under criticism. You do, however, aggressively pursue your creature comforts and have a definite sybaritic streak."

From http://www.taiwanese-secrets.com/chinese-horoscope-signs.html:
"... We can count on the rabbit when doing business because he is honest and lucky. He is tender with the people he loves, but he keeps his distances from his family. Sometimes arrogant and moody, the rabbit lives a tranquil and prosperous life."

From http://www.chinatour.com/culture/chinese-zodiac-signs.htm:
4. Rabbit — — (Cat in Vietnam) (Yin, 4th Trine, Fixed Element Wood)
Gracious, good friend, kind, sensitive, soft-spoken, amiable, elegant, reserved, cautious, artistic, thorough, tender, self-assured, shy, astute, compassionate, lucky, flexible. Can be moody, detached, superficial, self-indulgent, opportunistic, stubborn."

In Vietnamese horoscope the fourth place in the zodiac is given to Cat, not Rabbit. Clearly they have similar character traits. I have seen myself always as a Cat.

Not just the Vietnamese one. I have often seen Rabbit/Cat being used interchangeably. However, we already have a Big Cat in the form of the Tiger. And Rabbits have a very different personality when compared to Tigers.

I would not want to have this weirdo in my banquet too.

"Legends relating to the order of the Chinese zodiac often include stories as to why the cat was not included among the twelve. Because the Rat tricked the cat into missing the banquet with the Jade Emperor, the cat was not included and wasn't aware that the banquet was going on "
