Okay... so I've always wondered what I'd look like blonde. And always having really dark hair it sounds scary. But at time's when I collect all my hair up and clear my face I can almost imagine the color working with my features. And if I do try how should I start? I'm often advised to start off with highlights and just keep adding more and more in time. I've known girls with hair as dark as my natural who've gone blonde and look really good. In fact, one girl, I though her natural color was blonde and she just gets lighter highlights to compement her hair color. Nope. In fact she told me her hair was darker them mine, her natural I mean. She also said her hair was curly as mine. That's another thing I'm worried about because (though I hated my hair growing up but learned to manage now) I love my curls. Sure, she has some waves, but it's just not the same you know. My curls are just... perfect, I love them. And I can imagine blonde curls on top of my head. But if I'm going to loose my curls I don't see it worth it. I have a picture of me on here so if you want to look and try to imagine go ahead. But I think I should post another one because it's a pretty dark picture, the one I already have. I was thinking of a more natural, three tones, no highlights, dirty blonde. And my mom keeps saying that my eyebrows would turn white if I dye them too but I don't believe it because people do it all the time.
Going Blonde
lol I know I know, but I'm going to post new pictures too so... just wait.
okay now... 🙂 got more photos up

I think u can get away with going blond. You'd probably have to do the eyebrows too. I would go to a store that sells extensions and hold them up to your face to see which shade looks best. At least it's easy to darken hair if you don't like it as opposed to going from light to dark and then wanting to go back.

I'll stay raven and platinum, I'd look silleh as a blonde.
hehe I so want to try it though! I went red once. it was perfect! but I think I just want to have fun with the attention, I'll admit it!!! hehe don't judge me for being so skanky 😉! But really, I have always found all hair colors beautiful, depending on how someone wears it. And I feel like a change, something that's far from where I am. And I also like the whole dark and light thing, when the eyes are bright colored and the hair is dark, or the other way around. That's one of the things I wonder about, how different my dark eyes would look.

Blonde isn't skanky, it's just tricky, and a lot of upkeep. Just don't make the mistake of having it so over processed it looks like it could break off in someone elses hands. 🙂

😢 That sucks. It looks terrible when it's like that. Like someone slapped straw on a womans head. I see that and think "Does she know how awful that looks?"

I love my natural hair color too. I do let the beautician play on occasion, but usually it's a dark shade. Last time she cut my hair she said "Do you know what? I am really liking the silver, it looks good." It's looking frosty now, and I wouldn't mind a lick if it just all went completely silver. Your hair color is just lovely, but I've always admired red hair. 🙂

Hehehee, all black and silver.
Grrr... that's exactly what I'm afraid of: damaged looking hair! I want to go for a very natural blonde tone, that looks like light brown and stuff. I was thinking of doing it during this winter and staying out of the sun to have a snowy look. Even though it's always sunny in Cali :/. I love leaving my hair curly so I'm hoping it doesn't damage my curls into straight, straw like things. That's the only worry I have. But I know that there are products to take care of that, and I only, and rarely, use certain types just to keep my hair soft and shinny.
I also want to try copper. I tried ambure before and it was nice, esspecially when it blended to a nice red/light brown tone after a while. I liked that allot!
I like my natural color too. If I ever straightened my hair people would ask if I had died it black because of how much darker the color would look. lol curls bounce light and dark around. I guess it's the whole I-want-to-be-different thing. In my culture most girls have hair as dark as me. I grew out of the different thing, and now I just want change every now and then.
In my pictures you can see the ambure hair and my natural hair color in the other one, which I had two stripes of blonde highlights done when my mom was getting her highlights. I couldn't help but beg for them!

dianasart, i think you should stick to the brown tones. there are many many light browns with a golden shimmer or simply lighter highlights.
i can imagine how exiting it is to try something NEW - do you know what will happen to your hair? before you get the blonde tone dyed, your hair must be bleached - so your hair will look orange at first (due to the pigmentation) and then only the actual color is applied.
further you must consider your skin complexion as well. sometimes certain blonde tones will make a person look "yellowish" in the face. or greyish. and what color would you use for your eyebrows? blonde has to be done professionally - imagine the maintenance?
blonde - overrated imo. every color has it's beauty.
I agree with most of what you said. It scares me to bleach my hair and the color not being right sounds scary. I don't want to look orange. What I really do want is light browns with gold tones like you described, but I tend to call it dark blonde. I like the natural dark blonde tone but I find myself looking for more gold and then I come across blonde way too bright for me. It's hard. And I don't want to spend allot of money just to have some silly fun. I don't know, I'll see what I'll do.
Not yet -_- plans don't work out for me. But it's on top of my list and the second I can do something about it I'm going to!
hahaha ^_^ thank you. I'll consider that.
