you could use warm coconut oil, almond oil ,or jojoba oil. after you shampoo and condition your hair. add the warm oil to you hair, just a little bit sparingly. otherwise you will have an oily mess. you just heat the oil until it warm to the touch. with your finger tips dab the oil and finger it through your hair.

thank you
i do oil it regularly but sometimes it becomes a bit tangled at the last 18 inches of length. i know i should get it cut to leave it round about above the knee length. but i just think, can't or may be do not want to cut it.

oh i see, over the day mine used to do that too. i would have to brush it. because when i would brush before bed, it was so tangled i couldn't get a brush or comb through it. I had to trim it because it started to break because of it. my mom told me that midday i would have to apply a little oil and brush it. So I was brushing it like 3 times a day. Keeping it moisturized is important too. but i used to hate that.

Keeping hair neatly and loosely braided/woven keeps hair neat, maintains natural oil production, and out of the way of your skin.

**IF YOU CAN ACQUIRE HAIR CHOLESTEROL (about $ 3 USD) IT IS AMAZING AFTER SHAMPOOING - I PUT IT IN AFTER SHAMPOOING 1-2X A WEEK AND PUT MY HAIR IN A PLASTIC SHOWER CAP THEN EITHER NEATLY WRAP/ style A SCARF ONTO MY HEAD OVER THE CAP OR WRAP A THICK TOWEL ON MY HEAD.

after 30+ minutes I rinse it like crazy with freezing cold water (cold water = closed cuticle = maintained natural oils in hair shaft = shiny pretty hair) and use a deep conditioning .. conditioner (redundant). Once again if you CAN acquire it - Aussie 3 minute miracle lasts forever. This product saved my hair so many times. It's incredibly deep conditioning. But there are tons of conditioner 'recipes' when you google.

Just remember to be aware of the hair chemistry and ratio between protein and fat for the hair. Too much protein = straw feeling... too much fat = weak and 'cotton ball' feeling (trust me, you don't want to know)
