I just purchased a thick natural moisturiser - not cheap, but cheaper than brands like La Mer, SKII, philosophy etc. I thought they would put less of those chemicals which I'm kinda put off by nowadays. Do people around here use natural moisturisers and are they effective?

I like ( and I have rosacea so moisturizer is a must ) oils like azulene and emu. There is an organic/natural product online shop I adore http://www.madefromearth.com. I get a rosehip and hibiscus serum and an aloe moisturizer there. 🙂

Thank you for that site! It looks really good! I'd be switching to organics for now on - just got the clear shampoo from avalon organics as well, to try out. Was great.

Since the saponins used are natural and plant based they usually do not foam like *modern* shampoos. They do however leave your hair clean. They must be rinsed out very well, they cling to the hair shaft more readily. Heated olive oil used as a 'hot oil' treatment is nice, if your hair is dark an infusing of rosemary is lovely. Washing and rinsing with rainwater is great.
If you want perfumed hair, get a clear shampoo and add a couple of drops or so of whatever oil you prefer.
If this does not entice continue using whatever brand you fancy best. 🙂
