Like rocky pointed out, camel(AKA medium beige/tan)is such a neutral & versatile color, I'm sure one could pull off countless color/pattern combinations with that boot.

Personally though, I wouldn't wear camel boots with muted pastels(baby pink etc). In my opinion, that makes the whole outfit look washed out and less interesting than it could potentially be. Also it depends on what type of "look" you're going for on any given day.

For an "earthy" getup one might pair camel with burgundy/forest-green/rust/navy blue pieces & maybe a black belt.

When you want something that's more fun & whimsical, I've seen people wear "nude" colored boots with neon accessories; or sometimes dresses, shirts or bottoms with bold colorful patterns. Metallics work with beige boots as well 🙂

+1. Now that I think about it, to specify similar colors would also include anything with a pastel hue since camel is so light. It is a bit much. Goes amazingly with slightly darker colors, though. I have some lighter boots that aren't quite camel, but a lighter shade of brown and I have fun with their versatility.

Or if you want to go the Ralph Lauren look you'd layer with creams and white with jeans... Longer length cream singlet with white shirt and a cable knit slung round the shoulders! Preppy!!

...trend?

I mean, there have always been tasteless dressers, probably always will. But IMO fashion has leveled out for better as of recent.
Like, the early-mid '00s were a hot fvc.king mess fad-wise--accessible styling options were either the blandest basique(Hollister, AE)frat retailers, neo-hippie peasant skirts & flowy maternity-looking tops, myspace scene/hipster & XXXL Ecko threads. LOL! Don't miss it, not one bit.

At least nowadays, when I see people attempting to rock the alt/goth/subculture format, it seems like they discovered superior inspiration sources VS what was happening 5, 10, 15 years ago.

Even neo-goths & alternakids nowadays apparently realized how much better off they are if they take their look the Alexander McQueen/Vivienne Westwood-inspired route as opposed to going the tragic way of Adam Lambert & the chick in Evanescence like "outsider fashion" certainly did before.

Plus, consciously striving for "basicness" is widely frowned upon now. Nobody's following the herd & spending $ 40 for a solid color Abercrombie tees, which is another culture-upgrade. Distinct personal style s that show character are no longer taboo, or poorly-executed like before. That's refreshing in my book 😄

Nah, some of the stuff I see around is like a failed 80s revival and it's meh. I've got no problem with people doing their own thing. But some of them I just wonder if they're color blind or even looked in the mirror. "Ratchet" comes to mind, I guess. You can look trendy, fashionable, and unique without looking tacky and ghetto. It's the same group who had no idea how to dress formally because to them "formal" is "clubbing" attire.
