Might be some kind of placement because I have no idea why I am and he is.

It's a Cul-de-Sac.. oui oui..

not taking any more shit and manipulation. I actually realize he has that side of him when he plays the holding on but serves a totally different menu.

Time to give the bitter pill... his own!

What do you mean?

Sorry, I'm confused-- expand a bit for me, FUM?

(putting up again... I made a mistake in text)

Now, last night I found this script by Eckhart Tolle. I have to read it slowly and a few times to understand what he means.

When I have a couple of drinks, the phrase sinks right in.

I wish I could follow his advice.

It goes as follows:

************

Dear Friend,

Even if we discount all those pseudo-problems (such as worry), that are created by dysfunctional thinking, there still remains the fact that "having problems" seems to be the norm in most people's lives: relationships, finances, work, health.

If it's not one thing, it's something else. So, can we accept the possibility that comfort and security are not the ultimate purpose of human existence -- and that consciousness evolves and awakens through facing discomfort and insecurity? Can we accept that we may be here to be challenged, and so no longer resent the fact that we have problems? Can we accept each moment as it is?

The paradox is that, when we live like that, with no resentment and no complaining, not only do solutions appear more quickly, but we transcend the entire realm of problems. All that's left then is life and its challenges, and we respond to each challenge with peace in our hearts.

************

Hi seraph,

I'm quite fond of Tolle. I added him to my FB and actually the excerpt I posted was his Christmas wish. Around December I was feeling pretty low (seems to have become a constant in my life), anyway, the above pulled me right out of my low time. It got me going.

I will research what you suggested on Advaita Vedanta. I occasionally practice meditation but never thought of integrating the above.

To be honest, I am pretty new to spiritual availability. I had the idea of discovering America, but the past 2 years have been on a journey with a friend and opted a number of 'tools' for such practices.

Thanks for your great insight!
