Mercury Retrograde, is it affecting you

Everytime Mercury goes retrograde something happens to my car, every bloody time. This time is taking the biscuit though and it's going to cost me 1200 euro to get fixed, but on top of all that, got up this morning and my laptop is dead as a dodo and I'll have to buy a new one. My communication skills are gone to hell too, which is a shame as its a very important part of my work 🙂 Roll on April the whatever so this all comes to an end. Anyone else—?

LOL, I didn't do anything to it, things just seem to come to light during these merc ret periods. The key stopped working and i had to send it to be re-progammed so my scorpy collected the key for me and started the car, felt something was wrong and took it for a drive (he's so lovely) - the timing belt needs replacing right now and the clutch is on its way out, also 4 new tyres required, so it has to go in next week for 2 days to be fixed up - which I suppose is what the merc retrograde is all about or so I've just read - things that need fixing rearing their ugly heads 🙂. My laptop, now that is really annoying me, have to buy another so that's 500 euro at least.

Oh No, and you won't get any joy from Ryanair, we call them Ruin-air in Ireland, but you should try to ring them and see about your booking cause if you re-book you may end up getting charged for both. I hope you get to see your MIL soon, sorry to hear she is so sick 😢

happy st patrick's day!!! the ports are throbbing with expats from the emerald isle getting shitfaced on guiness and singing their crazy irish drinking songs. you gotta love the irish. bit of a north/south divide going on...the notherners sound really agressive whereas the southern accent is gorgeous and sing-songy like i imagine yours to be. there are quite alot of people from belfast though and even if they're asking the time, i wanna raise my hands in surrender, lol!

anyway...back to merc retro. i was expecting a call or message from the aqua man regarding the dinner he'd talked about taking me to tonight. i've been let down with my childcare and i can't make it but haven't been able to contact him as there's no answer on his mobile. about an hour ago, i thought i would do some work and so checked my mail on the laptop to find that there was an email from him which hadn't come through to my blackberry. he is asking what time we're meeting. i've responded to that but i tried to call and got no answer again. that's a classic mercury in retro communication problem!

quite good though really cos i had chickened out and was planning on a long soak in the bath instead.

haha!! he just called. said it suited him better to go out tomorrow anyway so happy days!! at least i can wear normal clothes, lol.

yeah, that northern accent can be quite aggressive, but it depends where you come from, there's a wide variety for such a small section of the island - the southern accent is for the most part soft and welcoming, I love it on men 🙂

when did this start and for how long? what exactly happens? what is affected by mercury in retrogade?

Started a couple of days before merc went retrograde, what's called the shadow period - my key stopped working, then on the day merc went retrograde March 12 I got my key back and my friend found the problems with my car - there is always a problem with my car during these periods, and always unexpected, then on March 17 my laptop died . Merc retrograde affects communication, travel, mechanical, electronic (phones, laptops etc.).

communications as in person to person?

because to be honest if that's the case, I've been REALLY REALLY effected and nobody is communicating well with me. I've seemed short tempered to everyone and I don't really feel like dealing with anyone lately. I call times like this my 'hibernation' periods. Even with my 'attendance' on sites like this - I'll stay more to myself over anything else, irregardless of internet, personal, or face to face.

Funny enough (well not so much), my Capricorn mother came back from the Caribbean a couple nights ago. She came back with an all over painful rash that looked very odd. She wore SPF 50 AND 100. This 'sun reaction' happens often *especially during travel* - sometimes accompanied with joint swelling and pain. For over 10 years this has occurred off and on with no medical reasoning despite lab work.

I've been having odd symptoms for about two years now that I have no need to get into. Consequently, I'm in the process of being tested for Lupus (it's probably my diagnosis as a Dr. admitted).

I offered that idea to mom, with having some background in pathophysiology. She is now being tested as well.

I find the retrograde and Mom's condition to be very interesting.

Not necessarily person to person but it can be about communication with friends and groups, but for me its definitely in the way that I communicate, I find my communication becomes very difficult, as in I can't put what I want to say into correct wording (like right now LOL). Merc was in Leo a few months ago, oh my, my communication skills sharpened, twas delightful! Communication can also be distrupted via technology breakdown or mechanical breakdown. For leo's I think delays in shared financial transactions is also a biggy - it is for me this time anyway. Not sure about the health aspect though, athough problems related to travel are part of it, so maybe your mother experiences this at these times. Hope she feels better soon.

Unfortunately, I find that the diagnosis for both of us will probably be lupus (an autoimmune disease; lifelong and chronic, but we both present with very mild symptoms luckily).

For her it typically appears just after a vacation.

I told her about the retrograde today and connected some instances with her in reflection of it. We both laughed and rolled our eyes; we have an aunt who is a lifelong astrologer. She's always taught us to take light of bad times since a retrograde is somehow usually involved. We giggled because we so easily forget her advice at times!

I'll definitely relate with you on the 'wording' piece 😄 ! Lately I've been just leaving it alone and not even putting in any input because of the wasted effort 😉

And glad that Ireland has a bright and fun summer coming 😄 It's always so interesting to hear of tradition and 'folklore' that other people maintain. Here in my home state, we celebrate Saint Joseph's Day. It's basically filled with feasting and eating cream puffs - our state has many Italians and Catholics. Unfortunately I'm allergic to the food that's celebrated with - but hell, I don't need the calories!
