Ever since I was a little girl, I have LOVED books. I made frequent trips to my local library and spent hours reading quietly in my room. During school recess, I would sit under a nice shady tree and just get lost in my book. The kids in my school were always playing dodgeball near the area where I usually sat and I can't count how many times I was hit with a ball and didn't even notice until a few moments later because I was so engrossed in my book lol

I was a nerdy Gemini lol

I'm a bookworm~! I like collecting information from books and storing them in my brain for future use cuz I feel like knowledge is power lol I like books about science, law, and human behavior lol i don't really read fiction.

when i was a kid i used to read during dinner time (by holding the book under the table) and it drove my dad crazy lol he was like "i'm gonna take that book away if you don't eat!!!"

i'm an aries 😆

I've been a voracious reader my entire life. It doesn't have to be a book, though- I love reading anything. My mom is in love with reading, too. She's an Aries. I'm a Gemini.

we lived way out in the boonies and rarely had a running car("how poor were you?"..i was sooo..) .. so i read everything i could get my hands on because i couldn't go anywhere..mostly history books and things on geography and foreign places and the New York Times..anything on philosophy, great writers, classics etc. i was put in a gifted class in 8th grade..based on tests i took when i was in 4th grade that said i had freshman and sophomore (college level) reading comprehension across the board. reading and sports were kind of my escape...i was in spelling bees and geography bees ..so some kids thought i was a jock and some kids thought i was nerd..some kids would make fun of me and say that i read encyclopedias..i couldn't really say anything because i did but it was great because it made me always want to fill gaps in my knowledge and gave me a basis from which to expand on..i still read a lot today

Impressive! What sign are you?
Books brought me comfort in times of sadness especially during my teenage years. When other kids resorted to self destructive behavior (drugs, sex, alcohol, parties), I turned to my books.

I used to do the same thing! hehe But instead of taking away my book, my mom took away my dinner so I sometimes went to bed with an empty stomach 😢

parents should be happy that their kids are reading!!! (even if they're doing it at the dinner table) lol i mean my dad takes the newspaper with him to the bathroom so he shouldn't be scolding anyone lol i dunno if he still does it now cuz we dont live in the same house anymore but i think reading while taking a dump is just plain nasty lol

Huge book worm and have been since I was very young. I also lived in the library as a child and went through many CLAN cards 🙂. When I hit adolescence, I tended to choose one author and read everything they'd ever written as quickly as possible.

When I was younger, I really loved legal thrillers, mysteries and the classics. Now that I'm an adult with a job, responsibilities and stress, I like to stick to what most people would call "beach reads" (Jennifer Weiner, Megan McCafferty, etc) and also main stream hits (The Millennium Series, Dan Brown's novels, etc). I'd really love to get my hands on The Hunger Games series next.

The difference between my Aqua BF and myself: he *collects* books (we have several HUGE bookcases) but rarely reads. Or- he'll read a chapter from something every so often, but will never finish the book. I read all the time.

And I should also add that my Libra mother started me on my bookworm path. I borrow books from her constantly.

anybody else obsessed with self-help books? lol i'm trying to get my ass to become more spiritually evolved lol

Yes, definitely! Always trying to improve!

Me too! I love self help books. There's no need to hire a shrink or an expert who'll charge you 100 bucks an hour just to give you advice you can easily get from a book lol

I love John Grisham's legal thrillers! I have most of his books!

Yes, I am a book worm

I will read just about anything. I spend hours in book stores, libraries, on line. I just love to collect information. As a kid I remember being in the bed under the covers with a flashlight, or I would read to my Barbie dolls. As a teen I read more self help books because my parents were??_well not really approachable during that time. Young adult I read more about relationships, etc??_. Now, I will read just about anything that peaks my interest.

I love them, I read them, but I can't honestly say i'm a bookworm. I am more of a do-er that likes to experience life first hand. My favorite stories are the tales I spin in my head. I guess i'm more of a writer.

i've been an avid reader since i could remember. i have 3 book cases in my office (9 shelves each) and 2 in my wood work room. 🙂 my mom wants me to come to her house in michigan to get my books out of her basement. if i could have a private library that would be orgasmic.

in college i used to skip literature, history, or any other class that involved just reading and writing papers. and only come on test day. i usually read the books that summer. lol..the professors would be mad. it was funny.

thats what i'm saying. when you're in there your main goal should be to get the fuck out of there as fast as you can but for some bizarre ass reason these people wanna linger in the nasty atmosphere lol i dont understand but hey whatever works for them.

I have a voracious appetite for books fiction or fantasy as they spark dreams day and night and spurn the ability to bring to reality what you previously could not. However there something to be said for the dusty covers with musk smell of books long past. Electronic book readers just dont have the same feel "sigh"

I grew sick of asking others to explain everything to me when I was so interested in everything. I began reading at a very early age and began learning independently to experience every realm imaginable and to appreciate every happening in time.

Leo.

My current favorite book (for the past four years as well) is Brave New World.

It depends what you mean by bookworm. I do have tons of books but most of them remain unread especially now that I spend so much time online. Perhaps because I am a Virgo most of my books are non-fiction, particularly astrology (of course), also mind/body/spirit, self-help, language books, travel books and reference books. My mother died about three years ago and about a year and a half ago I received several thousand pounds from her estate, much of which I ended up spending on books, music CDs and DVDs from Amazon.
