Do you feel like you learn lessons quickly from the past? Or do you all find yourselves tripping over the same rock?

I've found that I have to do more than just try to not repeat the mistake. I have to actively make the lesson a habit. For instance, I had a tendency to not consistently return calls/texts, and a few times, I had people mention that it makes them feel like I don't care about them.

Rather than just try to be better about it with that particular friend, I made a promise to myself to take a few minutes every morning to return the last day's messages. (I can't text or call people right before bed because I go to bed at ungodly hours lol. Except a few of my hardcore night owl friends).

To be honest, I started my "Don't Be a Flaky Jackass" programme somewhat recently, but already it seems like the people I care about are a lot happier.

I like your approach to making positive changes in your life. It really does show that you are actively trying to improve some of your not so sought after behaviors. I'm very happy for you. Would you say that's typical of Libras? Or do you think you're in the minority?

At the end of the day, Libra is going to mull over both sides of the equation. She will come to a conclusion--whatever that is--and then she move forward with that BUT this will not stop her from pursuing the opposite THOUGHTS. Don'e expect a Libra to lay it all on the line with an all or nothing statement, IMO. Actions will speak louder than words when it comes to understanding which side the fence she truly sits on.

As I think continually about my actions and what I can do to become better, I guess it confuses me that one can just move on. I tend to reflect on things I've done for years and years so that I can assure myself that I've grown past that and that I'm a better person than I once was.

When you hurt somebody in the past, or when you've done things that are bad when you were younger, do you ever find yourself reflecting on what you did so as to grow from it?

Yes, I always look at things on different angles and how I played a part in it and what I could have done differently so I can improve myself. My aim is to always be better and improve so I stop hurting other people. I do feel remorse and carry that with me as a reminder of my own demons but not to keep bringing up the past, it's just so I'm aware of the fuck ups I'm capable of so I can avoid it in the future.

There was one time I felt so horrible about hurting someone even if it was deliberate, I tried to kill myself. I felt like I was a monster! I NEVER want to feel like that again. Feeling like you can't live with yourself anymore is one of the worst feelings ever.

Or do you sweep it under the rug and just try to move on, never thinking about it again?

Nah, I can't do that. I can't live in denial. My conscience haunts me.
