In May 2003, Browne predicted to Larry King that she would die when she was 88. She was off by 11 years.

Browne rose to fame in part because of her frequent appearances on the Montel Williams Show between 1991 and 2008, where she would claim to speak to the dead and offer information about missing people.

One of her most infamous predictions came in 2004, when she told Louwana Miller, the mother of Amanda Berry, that her kidnapped daughter was dead.

—She's not alive, honey,?? Browne said at the time, according to NBC affiliate WKYC's report on the segment. —Your daughter??s not the kind who wouldn't call.??

In May, it was discovered that Berry was still alive and had been held captive by Ariel Castro for nearly a decade. Miller died in 2006 and was not alive to hear the good news -- or the news that she was exploited by Browne.

Browne responded to media questions with a prepared statement that included this line: "Only God is right all the time."

Although Browne claimed to have a psychic success rate between 87-to-90 percent, a 2010 analysis of of 115 predictions she made on "The Montel Williams Show" by Skeptical Inquirer magazine put her success rate at zero.

In some cases, she charged a police department $ 400 for her services.

In 2002, Browne told the parents of missing 11-year-old Shawn Hornbeck on the Montel Williams Show that the child was dead and kidnapped by a dark-skinned man with dreadlocks."

SMH. I rather not speak ill of the dead...but yes her psychic abilities were very very questionable.

i actually took a look at her chart. she had very good ingredients for a proper "psychic"


sun and merc in the 8th house, mars in earth, although in the7th... and moon in 10th? not sure about that. and a lilith in scorpio. Pluto cancer in the 6th. Neptune in virgo: lots of virgo energy. and lots of scorpio energy.

well, also, questionable about her "charging" people too. but yeah, it's not proper to speak ill of the dead.

What if it's true?

What if it would help people avoid certain mistakes?

it's not as if she's a serial killer or rapist,

we don't know exactly how hard she's had it in her life and why she predicted false prophecies.

Nostradamus had false predictions too.

do you want to call her all types of bad names. go on ahead, no one is stopping you.

i try not to even speak too ill of my ex who died, and he was a true monster. he's suffering really bad right now i'm sure. cause he ain't going to the pearly gates with his cruelty to innocents.

I don't have anything bad to say about her. I was just wondering why it's bad to speak ill of the dead.

JUST SOMETHING CLICHE THEY HAVE HEARD OVER THE YEARS.

I personally have a problem with ANY psychic, tarot card reader, median etc...who profits from what is suppose to be a ~gift~.

I noticed that many Psychics, the usual "authentic" ones, usually have 8th house as their dominant house on the charts.

Perhaps what happened with Ms. Browne was her "using" her gifts for monetary means, and perhaps, spirits played a trick on her giving her false information.

They do that, if they don't like you, and they know your true intentions (if you believe in that)
