She never said she wanted to be a role model so why are we forcefully putting that label on her?

All the people who grew up eventually smoking, drinking, doing drugs, being loose, wearing inappropriate/skimpy clothing, etc. all of the sudden are offended that some young girl who just so happens to be famous went through the same phases in life?

She just makes more money than the average teen...that is the only difference b/w her & the sluts everyone was in middle/high school lol If we condemn her for that, everybody else oughta be condemned too!

Give the chick a F'ing break! She's in the entertainment business! And just b/c people see what she's doing as disgusting doesn't change the fact that they ALSO just so happen to be "entertained" by it all! So for someone like her who makes $ $ off of "entertaining" folks, she's actually doing what we dumb asses pay her to do.

If we consider twerking, drugs, sex, etc. as entertainment, that is OUR fault as a society, not hers!

I wanna make this clear that I DO NOT feel sorry for Miley or agree with the things she's doing to get money BUT I am not for condemning her either. She has a fan base that is NOT famous that are her fans b/c they like doing/being the SAME things Miley is! So if we condemn her, we have to condemn everybody else too.

But oh no, the pot would much rather call the kettle black

I get that making threads about her is perceived as giving her more attention & importance than she probably deserves

My point though was that Miley or anything she's doing/has done isn't the problem. There are thousands of other public figures that act a fool but yet we support them, dance to their music, pay money to go watch their violent or provactive movies, or even better....some people are a hot mess in their own personal lives too! Some even more than Ms. Cyrus herself! etc. And yet we don't condemn them.

So why condemn Miley when she's doing what millions of others are doing on a daily basis! What, are people mad that she's the only one getting paid for being stupid? lol

There's a lot of sluts, drug users & people who'd sell their soul for money other than Miley! If not so yourself, you either are, know or have met someone who are or would do that in a heartbeat!

So if we wanna start condemning folks, let's start with half of the middle/high schools (and even worse, the adults) who live OR wanna live this same life style

My view; we all were young; did stupid things; apart of growing up; and everyone needs to just let her grow up; and be whoever she wants to be as she goes through her a transitions in life.
It sucks since she is in the public eye; but it comes with the territory. People just need to let her be; and worry about themselves.

If she wants to twerk( didn't know if I spelled it right) naked let her do her thing. Pretty sure a lot of people have gone streaking or played strip poker....so what's the problem. I don't get it.

This isn't nothing new ; it's been done many times before with pop artist, even in the 80's.

I blame lazy parenting. If i want my kids to have a positive role model, i show them on a daily basis what one looks like and don't expect entertainers or athletes to do it for me.

Boom!

+10!!!!

BINGO!!!!!

If people believe that folks like Miley Cyrus should be any kind of role model than they are more ignorant & in the wrong than the artist themselves!!!

The only thing Miley Cyrus can teach people is perhaps how to make money by selling your soul. I bet if she wrote a "HOW TO" book, it'd be a Best Seller! Again ignorance on the consumers & not the celebrity
