Interesting. I have never heard it. I remember when I was in choir in high school, we sang this song called "Ride On, King Jesus", and I really liked it, because it was really fun to sing. What's funny is that one time I remember getting frustrated with the fact that we were always being made to sing religious songs (and I went through a very militant atheist phase for a while), and one day I'd had it with all the religious stuff. So I said to my teacher in front of all the other students (the teacher was very religious), "Why don't we ever get to sing different kinds of music, like the Beatles?" and he said, "because I don't like the Beatles".

WHAT KIND OF MADMAN DOESN'T LIKE THE BEATLES?

I decided right then and there that he was too weird for me. I'm sorry but there is something seriously off about people who don't like the Beatles. How could you not like the Beatles? I think he was lying, trying to save face, because legally he couldn't say, "because I am religious and I like to project my beliefs upon my young helpless students who can't do anything about it except drop the class".

According to John Lennon, Let It Be was not a religious song, it was a song about his mother (unless I'm mixing up John Lennon and Paul McCartney). His mother's name was Mary and I believe she died of cancer.

(When I find myself in times of trouble/
Mother Mary comes to me/
Speaking words of wisdom/
Let it be//
And in my hour of darkness/
She is standing right in front of me/
Speaking words of wisdom/
Let it be...)
