-they all have commercials on at the same time -you only notice the radio noise when the commecials are on, never when the music is on -the music is all repetitive-never anything new -the really really good artists who don't pay up won't get their songs played -the bad artists with a lot of money can afford to pay the radio stations to play their songs every damn hour -the radio announcers are dull, lame, and, for the most part, perverted old guys tring to be like Howard Stern -the good radio stations that aren't a part of the big corporations are going under because they aren't getting enough money to make ends meet -Whenever you call in to be #9, you are always #8
The radio can be supremely annoying. My major gripe is that my favorite station, STAR 97 FM, the alternative rock station, has this retarded "retro lunch hour" thing they do where for like an hour ALL they play are old eighties songs. Now, every GREAT now and then I enjoy a few retro eighties songs, believe me. I love the Boy George and the Bangles and the Duran Duran and the Cure and all that stuff as much as the next person. But for pete's sake, I don't want it for a straight hour. And besides that, they play eighties CRAP music, like the Go Go's and MC Hammer and old Whitney Huston and Madonna crap. So then I have to turn it to oldies, because all the other stations mainly play rap and techno and everything I don't like. And I know a lot of the deejays and they're all man-slut, wannabe players, and they flirt ridiculously with all the girls who call in for whatever reason.
Hmmm, the only reason I listen to the radio is because I wan't to find out what the new songs are like on new albums, and because I love oldies but would never buy a cd of oldies music.
lol, who is this Duran Duran the Boxer Man you speak of?
It was funny, when I read your post james I had just heard Duran Duran on the radio. "Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand/Oh Rio Rio, dance across the Rio Grande" hehehe, I love that song.
too all that listen to all kinds of music including some hard rock the new linkin park cd is out and so far it is intense and pretty damn passionate with their art and music.
I really like most of their stuff, but I have like three or four or five very favorite songs that I am very partial to. Their voices are beautiful...did you know they were born either on the same day or one day apart? And they're both scorpios, which is
I heard this on some commercial for a car--then I looked it up and found out it's been done by a bunch of singers. Rod Stewart being one of them (dork alert, but it's still a kickass song)!
So, I'm obsessed with this new song they have out called "Seven Nation Army" or something like that. But I can't find the lyrics to it anywhere, not even on the band's website. Can someone help me out? I'd really like to know what the guy is saying. I
Here's a good one (and good cover songs are rare): "We Can Work It Out" sung by Heather Nova. Originally by The Beatles of course. It's nice, download it if you can.
Try to see it my way Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on <
